This is a necessity for my refrigerator to dispense filtered water, but I must say it lasts a decent amount of time. I buy one about once per year and I feel the water is used an average amount of time in my home.

I purchased this because i did not realize one came with the refrigerator. I decided to keep it so that i would have it on hand for when it would need to be replaced.

I use this filter for my Sears Kenmore side by side refrigerator. Best Buy is the only place that have these filters in stock.

I push the lever on my refrigerator, and while the filter is in place, water comes out. The water is clear and tasteless. It works!

Best Buy is my go to place for refrigerator filters. Always in stock...never any problems. I wish the filters lasted longer (usually about 6 months), but it is what it is I guess.

We love it. We recommend if you have a fridge with one to change it regularly.

Overall, it's a carbon filter that removes contaminants. Works fine, however, this filter only treats 200 gallons as opposed to the same exact model fridge I used to have which was designed to treat 400 gallons. So, the manufacturers have designed these filters smaller to sell more of them. Either way, it does the job, but now I have to change them out more frequently, which is annoying.

Using this helped to repair what I thought was a defect in my refrigerator.

Filter was easy to change and a regular stocked item

From past experience one must buy the suggested filter from the manufacturer. A lesser brand might cause your icemaker and water dispenser to stop working, thus a costly repair.
