    I get this filter every six months. I like that I can get auto filled so that it comes like clockwork every six months and my filter is ready to be replaced.

    The filter does it's job adequately. However the $50 price (at BeatBuy) is outrageous. If I had known about the cost of the filter before I bought my KitchenAid fridge, I would have bought another model/brand of refrigerator that didn't use them.

    I had to get a replacement filter for my Fridge I purchased back in July. Filter for perfectly and after cycling through 4 gallons of water, water was ready to drink.

    This is the filter I need for my refrigerator, but I sure wish there was a less costly alternative. I does what it's supposed to do, but only lasts about 6 months. It's just a water filter, and it's the most expensive one I've ever had to buy to fulfill that job.
