    I have a Kitchen Aid refrigerator. I like the functionality of this product. It does what it's supposed to do. But what I don't like is the continuous rise of the price of this item. I think the price of this filter has gone up over 33% since I first bought it and there are really no cheaper alternative to replace it with.

    This filter is the one that the manufacturer recommends. Of course it is the most expensive one, and you need to replace it at least 3 to 4 times year. It works though.

    Just so you all know, I called the manufacturer and asked if we only have 2 people in the household, how often do we need to change the filter? They said the recommendation is for a family of four people. So I just lifted filter out and put same one back in to reset the light from going off. So after a year I finally installed a new filter. This filter fills our bottles in half the time as the old one, so I like it.

    First of all, Best Buy offers an excellent program where you sign up for regular deliveries (you state the frequency of delivery) and they give you a great discount from the regular price. As far as the filter goes, when you replace it you have to run the dispenser for a few seconds then let it sit for a few. You have to run 3 gallons through the dispenser and it gets to be really boring. Also, make sure your dispenser is calibrated correctly or you will find you will buying filters more frequently than necessary.
