Our usage has not changed, either, and there are only two of us in the house. Since I've seen other reviews with similar complaints, I can't help but wonder if there is - or was - a QC issue at the manufacturing facility. No matter the cause, it's completely unacceptable that a $50 filter meant to last 6 mos hasn't made it half that long. Really disappointed.

The item is great but I can not get them to stop sending them. I have talked to 5 people and no one knows how to stop it. Do not start up unless you want problems.
