    We installed the filter and it caused a flood inside of the refigerator. Unfortunately, I found a YouTube video of a family who had the same issue with the 5 door Kitchen Aid refigerator. Recently, Everydrop has made a water dispenser that goes on the outside of your refigerator due to this known issue. My family bought a water bottle dispenser instead that has hot, room temperature, and cold water. The refigerator manufacturers need to return to producing their own water filters instead of using a universal filter like a universal remote control. They are not always compatible. However, some people love it. Personally if you have a Kitchen Aid 5 door refigerator stay away from this product.

    Works great but only for 3 months.

    We only get 3 months out of these. Instructions say 6 months but it stops functioning at 3 for us as the chlorine taste becomes unbearable till we change it.

    Wish there was a better option

    This is the first time we've had to replace our filter since our Whirpool fridge is new. The initial filter that came with fridge was great! So we bought the same one, but it's definitely not the same! Takes WAY MORE gallons of water to flush through in the beginning. But even then, the water has a taste to it. If you drink the water immediately, it's halfway palatable, but let it sit more than a minute or two and we just throw it away. And sometimes, the water appears cloudy for no reason. Not much sense in wasting money on a fridge with ice and water dispenser if you can't use it.

    Filter makes my water splash when coming out

    Since changing my filter, this filter causes great deal of air to enter when using the water on door which makes a big mess. The filter is defective and I have to pay shipping to return back to GE although bought from Best Buy.

    I believe the filter was used. Why do I say that? When you put a new filter in and cycle through several pitchers of water to prime it you get that burp. That means that the new filter is primed. The water is then powerful stream. Not this one. I have less stream than before. So disappointed. I am going to return it. I am assuming someone returned their used filter and returned it. Just a guess.

    These filters are ok. Sometimes they last a while, sometimes they clog up after a month. Really no other options though.

    This filter does not reduce contaminants to a healthy and safe drinking water as stated. We have a "Zero" water filtration testing devise and the filtered water from EveryDrop tests almost the same as our tap water, which here in Tyler Texas, is not good! This product is money wasted! I wish "Zero Water" would make filters for refrigerators...

    This is a ridiculous waste of water. I'm upset I waited so long to put it in so I'm not sure if Best Buy will do anything. The taste is still foul and my kids won't touch it, nor will I. Not sure what the heck I'm drinking. I'm very disappointed.

    Unfortunately the taste of the water is off when we use this filter. Then the kids don't want to even drink the water. And it's very expensive as well!
