I tested the tap water at 525ppm and the water filter after replacing it is still at 525ppm and has dirt particles that can be seen and tastes aweful. Not happy especially for what it costs.

Acts like a clogged filter very slow trickle. This is the second filter in two weeks. Thought maybe the previous replacement (purchased off Amazn) was a fluke but the second (from Best Buy) also had the same issue : very slow trickle of water. Put old filter back and it worked fine. Researched filter and found that a few others people had the same problem. Maybe a bad lot?

The instructions for installing the filter were close to useless. Read that there was a button to depress and the filter would pop out. Wrong, the button will not depress because it is in front of a solid piece of plastic. You'd have to dismantle the entire grill to remove the obstruction. We were finally able to tug it out with brut force. I suppose the filter is working. Water certainly doesn't taste any different.

Upon picking up, package was damaged and was opened. I was told the item should be find. Got home. I believe the water filter was used and returned.

2nd time purchasing. Works as expected. Taste great!

I installed it and followed all directions. When the water dispenser would not work, I pulled it out thinking I installed it wrong, and had a flood! I ended up calling an appliance repair person, who said the filter was defective. That cost me another $65.00, which I don't have to spend. Now it's too late to return. Won't ever do this again.

To be honest, The water from this filter has bend very cloudy. I ran several bottles through and it doesn't seem to help.

Not a good replacement for original Whirlpool water and ice filter for the fridge. Works few days fine then fridge gives you specific sounds as if you have to replace already. Need pull it our and push back in to work fine few more days and they same thing over again. Had to return it back. Better to buy original ones

The filter works fine except the filter seems kind of pricey to only last for 6 months.

This filter makes the water taste TERRIBLE. I don't understand how these are even on the market. Yes, I did run GALLONS thru it hoping the taste would go away. Ended up switching to a Brita pitcher instead of using the water dispenser in fridge. What a waste.

Had to return it because it had plastic shavings around the top and I was concerned it may also be inside

Filter was faulty. Plugged perfectly in place of the old one, but only a trickle of water would come out.

This filter has barely lasted me two months. I will use the second and find a new brand afterwards.

Does not clean out slime in water, very disappointed

The water did not taste very well I had to return the item.

The water has a cheap flavor. But, the filter does its job.

The G3 refrigerator filter is replaced in my frig every 6 months and works well. It is easy to replace and makes the water taste better ...I like the price also....not too expensive.
