    I have purchased less expensive knock off versions for this filter online and while you think you're saving money, you're really NOT! This filter lasts the full 6 months as its advertised and it makes the water taste great. The knock offs don't last as long and I doubt it even filters well. I like to pick up 2 of these a year at my local Best Buy!

    I have two refrigerators, different manufacturers, each of which uses this filter. Replacement is similar in both, and easy. I haven't been able to comparison shop since this is the specified filter, but I've been satisfied with them for years.

    I have been using the Whirlpool EveryDrop filters for about 2 years with no issues. My neighborhood has good tap water, so this filter just makes it better tasting. If you use your refrigerator water dispenser every day, you should replace the filter at least every 6 months.

    Been buying most of my filters from Amazon, but they never last very long and the taste is just ok. Decided to try the recommended filter and it has worked great so far and great tasting water. Hopefully it will last longer than 2 months for a family of 5. Will update if it does.
