    I bought this filter 6 months after purchase of a new fridge. I was concerned it would be difficult to replace, but was actually quite simple. I also discovered that you can send the old filter back to be recycled and even receive a coupon towards the next filter purchase. The water where I live is hard, so we really need a good quality filter. Very happy with this product.

    Super simple to swamp out, just make sure you have a cup to catch the water when you take the old one out, then pop this one in and give it a GENTLE turn. Works great, and even though it says it should be replaced every year I am the only one that drinks water from the fridge, so I give it a few extra month before I replace it.

    There are less expensive generic filters out there but Everydrop provides the best contaminant reduction. There is definitely a difference in the water’s taste with a new filter. Lasts about 7-8 months with daily use. Best Buy’s price is historically one of the lowest with its subscription.
