    I bought this filter 6 months after purchase of a new fridge. I was concerned it would be difficult to replace, but was actually quite simple. I also discovered that you can send the old filter back to be recycled and even receive a coupon towards the next filter purchase. The water where I live is hard, so we really need a good quality filter. Very happy with this product.

    Super simple to swamp out, just make sure you have a cup to catch the water when you take the old one out, then pop this one in and give it a GENTLE turn. Works great, and even though it says it should be replaced every year I am the only one that drinks water from the fridge, so I give it a few extra month before I replace it.

    It was time to replace the water filter in my Kitchenaid refrigerator and this was the one that would fit. It seems to work fine. The water continues to taste good. It's shocking to me that a water filter that I need to replace on an annual basis costs $50 a pop but I guess that's what I signed up for when I bought this refrigerator.

    There are less expensive generic filters out there but Everydrop provides the best contaminant reduction. There is definitely a difference in the water’s taste with a new filter. Lasts about 7-8 months with daily use. Best Buy’s price is historically one of the lowest with its subscription.
