The "filter need replacing" lit up on the refrigerator door in less than one month. We only use the water feature on the door for ice cubes, not for drinking water. The filter is now useless in less than one month! Thought they're supposed to last at least 6 months, based on past experience.

One caveat is that the note on the packaging indicates it should last for 6 months but I've been replacing mine every 4months. Maybe add a note that quantifies in gallons rather than length of time since that could depend on size of household etc
