Ice falls out of the maker into the freezer. The ice maker needs to be better attached so ice stays in the container.

Product capabilities were very good - met my needs and price was good.

Technician mounted the ice maker incorrectly which caused the water to over flow and freeze. Also found that they used a screw from another part of the fridge!? They failed to use the right hardware. Big fail. After I reinstall all worked well. Do not get the install service! Terrible! Do it yourself and save yourself the frustration.

This is not a true kit it only includes the icemaker so if you need everything. I needed the pump and tubing up to the freezer and this does not include that equipment.. This should be labeled as a Replacement Kit.. Returned the unit and ordered a full kit from another location.

It accumulates too much ice before it stops. A better shut off is required.

Very basic, cheap ice maker. Stopped working with no explanation.

What can I say? It is an icemaker, does it's job. Kinda expensive though .

Previously always had amazing service from Best Buy and Geek Squad, but this last purchase has added so much stress on us. The frig was delivered and installed very professionally, even hooked up one of the icemaker lines. When the men came to install the icemaker 3 men came in the house and looked at the said appliance and said they weren't able to install it because we didn't have the correct material. The man started arguing with my husband . The ice maker is still in a box on my dining room table, so needless to say I get more stressed each time I walk by it. I have written an email prior to this, but haven't heard from anyone. I hate having to write this review but don't know what else to do.

Icemaker is very slow. It takes over an hour for it to make a batch of ice.

The ice maker does what it is supposed to do. The ice bin is another matter. It’s made so poorly the sides almost cave in when you grab it by the side and it’s full of ice. Cheap is the best description.

Three attempts to get my icemaker installed due to mismatch of ;unit to my refrigerator. Better to buy a more expensive refrigerator model with it preinstalled. Other than that, it works fine.

Started making ice cubes but have a large solid piece of ice on bottom of tray now. Will have to unload ice cubes and rinse tray out periodically now.

Wrong model for my whirlpool refrigerator. Its the second one installed on my brand new refrigerator and it not the right one. Tech saw that the connector prongs didn't match up and still forced it and it never worked. Warranty tech came out and he is the one that noticed it. It appears the wire harness is the wrong one and that the part does not exist. Trying to add pictures below and it won't work or allow to add pictures

Had issues with tech installing that's another story, all in all it works now ice sometimes takes a while to make and the noise might scare u in the middle of the night,

From the Moment it was installed it hasn’t worked properly is one big block of ice that we have to break if we want to use ice ridiculous product and don’t even think about calling whirlpool to try to fix it they will charge you 120 to see if it’s even under their warranty and then they’ll charge you for labor if it has to get fixed Reconsider adding this to refrigerator

Two ice makers have been installed and waiting on a third. Both have had the same problem. Water runs into ice tub and down the back of freezer. So I have frozen water with my cubes and on the bottom of freezer.Waiting in Whirlpool tech to bring another ice maker, pump and new tube.

Ever sense my ice maker has been installed it leaks and dumps ice into the freezer
