    The filter does a good job of filtering the water. As I mentioned the filter is fairly expensive.

    First off I have a water softener and home flirtation system so this filter is a bit redundant. With that in mind however, when it comes times to change the filter you will know it. The water begins to get a certain flavor... I'm not sure if this is because of the water softener or something in the filter that begins to leach into the water. Regardless, changing the filter is easy and takes only a few seconds.

    I love my black, side-by-side KitchenAid refrigerator. This is the filter that is required to be replaced about every 6 months.
