It is a predictable movie about the White House being taken over by former Special Forces soldiers that left the military disgruntled. Saying this, it did have some funny parts and the action was good, just way too over the top sometimes. I think Olympus was Fallen was a lot more realistic and better than this one, but its worth a watch if you're bored on a rainy day.

Love these no-brainer boom boom flicks. This IMHO is the better of the two movies dealing with capturing the White House. At the very least it has a good movie sound track to demo your surround-sound home theater system especially if you have a good subwoofer or two. And besides, you don't have to put too much mental energy into understanding the plot. Ha Ha

I enjoyed this movie more than the other White House takeover segments. Jamie Foxx provided a decent amount of comedy to it and most seem interested in Channing Tatum these days. Channing tried to play a tough guy role hoping to get into the secret service. It left enough twists and turns to keep interest with a lot of things blowing up in the process.

I think that "White House Down" was one of the greatest action/disaster films of all-time and it was also one of my favorite films of all-time. I really enjoyed all of the action, drama, mystery and suspense that kept this film very entertaining and enjoyable. I also think that "White House Down" had a really great and amazing cast, plot and storyline as well.

This movie introduces a seemingly impossible situation involving courageous characters determined to save the day. While there are a few intense, scary moments, the movie does have a dash of humor mixed in a few of the conversations between characters. The situation reveals the tenacity of the characters to not just survive, but to fight back.

How many more times do we need to blow up the White House? This movie says "at least one more time." It's a fun action flick, it covers no new ground at all. Let's see Channing Tatum post-war vet who can't seem to keep a job, Jamie Foxx is the president, and James Woods is the bad guy. Shake well, Movie done.

I really liked this movie. This movie came out at almost the same time as Olympus Has Fallen and has the same premise. Basically, an attack on the White House. This film is the more PG-13 of the two. The chemistry between Channing Tatum and Jamie Foxx is pretty good throughout. And if you are still a fan of either of them, I think you'll like this movie.

Frankly, I waited till this was on sale because of the other white house movie "Olympus has Fallen". I am a big Gerard Butler fan. But this movie held it's own against such competition: Channing Tatum played an excellent lead and did a completely credible job of thwarting the bad guys. Good action, well thought out plot line and character development.

Not sure why the critics panned this movie. It was funny and action packed. However, I do think the docent did steal the last few scenes of the movie. :-) Loved the spunk shown by the main character's daughter. Plus is it always good to see another city besides NY getting blown up in action flicks. . . .

While the plot and progression of the movie is almost identical to Olympus Has Fallen, released shortly before WHD, it does just enough to set itself apart and gives the audience an entertaining action movie with plenty of laughs and enough suspense to hold their attention. This is the more lighthearted, slightly more family friendly alternative to the more serious, darker OHF.

This movie isn't much in the way of a plot or story, but it's VERY good for what it is. I was actually quite shocked by how much I enjoyed the movie. It is truly non-stop, fast-paced action. It's a long movie too, but it never feels like it drags or anything. If you like gun-fighting type action, then this is the movie for you.

My Wife and I love shopping at our local Best Buy the customer service is always great. Although we were not actively searching for electronics we enjoy coming in to see what deals and specials we can find. We purchased a DVD this time from what we call the Best Best Movie treasure barrels. Thanks, Best Buy for another satisfying shopping experience.

Blu Ray version of this movie is stunning. Story and action evolves well and 1 against 20 gunfights can draw a viewer in. Action is constant and small humorous spots are witty. Veterans will balk at unrealistic portions but its just entertainment. Good guys win against strong odds and all is restored to Liberty. One of my top five gun lovers spectacles.

Channing Tatum and Jamie Fox are excellent in White House Down. It is a lot better than Olympus Has Fallen. The special effects in White House Down are wonderful. I really like how its about a father whose trying hard to make a good impression on his daughter. I think its really awesome how knowledgeable the daughter is about the White House.

We love this movie. Have watched it at least a dozen times or more. You get to see the inside of the White House too. As you watch the movie you might ask yourself if this could or would really happen. Makes you stop and think about things that really go on with the various organizations of the government. Is it true? You decide... Great movie.

The pace is consistent throughout the movie and should play well with the history buffs out there. Many interesting historical facts about the white house throughout the movie. Its fun and action packed, but not so much over the top that it does not make sense. Great movie, lots of fun and interesting historical tidbits throughout the movie.

This is a great movie with a lot of action. This is a very familiar story line but this version is very well done. The movie even has some interesting facts thrown in during the white house tour and a few others through out the movie. Typical hero who is not supposed to be there and has a not so stellar passed but has all the skills.

I really liked this movie especially with Channing Tanum and Jamie Fox in the leads. Also it's always nice to see the great actor James Woods again. This movie delivers on many levels - action, humor and really good acting. I would definitely recommend White House Down. The price was also right. Best Buy - you did it again.

I have to admit I had my doubts about this movie. Channing Tatum and Jamie Foxx in a serious action movie? Who wouldn't doubt the quality? The plot was good. The action was amazing. The idea that anyone is getting helicopters that close to the White House undetected was a bit too far fetched. I love the entertainment of movie.

I have seen this movie before on cable before I decided to buy it..like the movie a lot but didn't like the fact that the blueray movie that I purchased from Best buy didn't have the digital copy that the ad on Best buy's website advertised so I returned it
