Have owned for over a month and I love this electric humidor. I researched for months and finally pulled the trigger (with wife's approval). It really is set and forget it, after properly seasoned and correct humidity. I would advise to pair this with a cigar oasis humidifier. Great product so far.

I've been looking at this cigar cooler for a year or so, on the fence on whether to purchase. The BEST BUY price pushed me over the fence. The cooler arrived double boxed and in perfect condition. I seasoned the fine cedar shelves with a distilled water rubdown and put a couple of ounces in the tray that was provided. I also have a separate web-accessible Temp/Humidity probe (Ambient WS-8482) that monitors the unit and sends the results (and graphical trend history) to my phone. The cooler maintains a solid 65-66 at its highest temp setting of 66. Note: the unit will show 67 as the cooler hits its top limit prior to quietly kicking back in. The humidity stability is amazing and i occasionally remove the water tray to keep it at 75%. I have and will continue to recommend this unit. In the future, I may purchase 2 additional draws to replace 2 of the trays for better support of loose cigars. I also purchased the extended warranty.

Living in Phoenix requires extra cooling plus humidity to preserve cigars at the house. I am able to maintain the cigar storage "magic" numbers of 65* and 65% simultaneously. Seasoning was very quick & simple using provided distilled water reservoir and moist wiping the cedar shelves and drawers. While the water reservoir with the interior circulation fan would be sufficient to keep a proper humidity level, I opted to purchase and use an electronic humidification device. The Whynter corporate support group was very helpful in obtaining an online vendor to purchase additional drawers to replace some of the shelving, as I tend to have more loose cigars than boxes. This humidor has met all of my expectations.

After experiencing problems with humidors in the past, and having lost $100's of dollars of excellent cigars, I decided to invest in an electric humidor. So far it has been awesome! I followed the set-up instructions, and had to do some minor temperature adjustments, but within a few days everything came together and the humidity is at a contant "70" and the cigars are loving it, as much as I am loving my excellent cigars!

My collection suffered during the summer months more than I like to admit. With this great alternative, we don't have to spend over $400.00 a month to keep the house at 70 degrees all day, every day!! The cigars now live happily at 63 degrees and are humidified correctly. This was definitely a Best Buy!! Happy cigars and a happy wife! Plus, it looks very good.

I used some of my Best Buy Rewards point to buy this and I received it within 2 days. Upon opening, a shelf and both drawers had wood adhesive sprayed on it. I called Whynter support and then emailed some pictures. Within 2 days I had 2 new drawers and 2 new shelves. A+ on their customer service. Unit is super quiet, temp is spot on. I am getting ready to purchase another one in a couple of weeks.

I had run out of room in my small desktops and did not want to get another so I decided to go larger. I looked at more traditional humidors They were nice and I thought I had settled on one until I saw this one. I love the sleek modern design and the glass doors showing the wood interior. The humidor is spacious, not only accommodating my loose cigars but several boxes as well. There is a lot of wood in there so it does take a while to properly acclimate the humidor. There are two minor shortcomings: you have to open the door fully to slide out the racks and trays; the light is useless but it looks great! Buy it!

I had issues with keeping my humidor at a constant humidity. After doing research the problem was the temperature fluctuations of my apartment. After doing research the Whynter coolidor looked like the perfect option. It was bigger than I anticipated but the design is nice and the item has really good build quality. It has been holding the temperature very well and the system was easy to setup. Just clean and plug it in. With the appliance sale online this was a great value as well. One of the best purchases I have made.

These will vary slightly with regards to the humidity but from what I've seen easily in the suggested ranges and you can dial it in to your preferred moisture with special beads or, I think better yet, kitty litter (see online for types and methods) that you can microwave for less and spray with water for more. I seasoned the shelves and let it sit for a few days and than added a fair amount of kitty litter. I used some open trays on the bottom that does not have a shelf but does go all the way back and a few small bags at the back of the shelves that served also to stop the potential of cigars rolling off the back when the shelves were pulled. This method also allowed me to get more cigars in there by stacking them higher on the shelves. Once set up the humidity is rock solid and so far never varies AT ALL. This design that opens from the front versus most traditional non-electric humidors that open from the top hold their temperature & humidity longer as you open the door to choose your smoke which is nice and you can see the vast majority before you open it which makes it even more useful. The light unfortunately is worthless and blocked by ANY cigars you put in. More of a mood light. Lights around the edge would work better but not a deal breaker. The capacity is likely right and I have to believe I have a few hundred in mine now.

I was a bit skeptical about this because I just wasn't sure that a humidor should have a cooler. However it is working great. The humidity is staying steady at 70% and my temp seems to go between 66 and 67. In fact a couple of my friends are thinking about getting them as well. I did what was suggested by some in the comments and used the humidity beads with a splash of distilled water instead of straight water and it seems to work great, an added benefit is if I jerk the drawer out, I won't splash water on anything.

Christmas present ..looks nice..... but have not been able to achieve an above 62 degree constant temp. My big fear is that cigars will dry out..so its still a wait and see process. Quiet unit. Great space. Again this means nothing unless it can maintain the cigars. It s a work in progress. ...

I have been looking at this for sometime now and read all i could before getting it. Now that i have it i'am happy i bought it worth it. Now just working on filling it up with some great cigars.

Be prepared for a little fan noise. Easy to set up and good looking. Great for storage. Temp control prevents mold and beetles for long term storage or aging.

Got it for my boyfriend for Christmas. He loved it couldn't wait to fill it up. Emptied his the one he had sitting on the bar. Goes great with wine and beverage cooler he had built in the bar. Plans to have a space cut out for the humidor soon.

Ready to go with minimum assembly. Add your humidification beads then stock with your favorite cigars. Thinking about picking up a second to replace my other humidors.

So I ordered this Whynter cigar humidor because I needed something new for my cigars. It was a toss up between this and the New Air. I decided to go with Whynter. This is by far the best coolidor on the market! It holds a lot of cigars, easy to set up and looks fancy! If I get to the point where I need more space for my cigars, I would be ordering another one!

This may be a lot to ask for the price, but a few issues: 1) There is not enough height clearance between shelves to accommodate many boxes of cigars. 2). It would be nice if there was an accurate led digital hygrometer on the outside of the door, alongside the temp readout. 3) There needs to be options for drawers vs racks. I'm going to have to have custom drawers built because the two that come with the unit don't even come close to separating and storing my loose cigars.

I was missing some parts and they replaced all the parts very quickly and very professionally. Customer support (Ruth G.) was excellent to deal with. Two thumbs up to the product and the customer support personnel. I would definitely advice on getting this item.
