This thing is awesome. So easy to set up and it holds all my cigars. I paid this with an Oasis Machine and now don’t have to worry about my cigars drying up.

When seasoning, don’t wipe down the cedar with distilled water. Simply fill the supplied seasoning reservoir and monitor the humidity. This type of humidor will always be more humid up top. The difference in mine is 1% to 1.5%. I use two electronic hygrometers which are calibrated, a Govee and a Boveda Butler. The Boveda comes with a calibration kit you can use for both. I’ve tried Heartfelt 65% beads and a Cigar Oasis Excel 3.0. I seem to get the most consistent results from 65% boveda packs. Keep in mind that if you lose power momentarily the Whynter will turn back on at the lowest temp setting which can really play havoc with the humidity.

This is a gift to myself and I haven't opened it as yet. I live in a warm humid environment so the ability to keep my prized collection of cigars fresh and art the right temperature is worth the expense.

Im not happy finding out I can only set the temp between 62 and 66 degrees. Iwas hoping I could set up to 70. Another thing is when you shut off and plug back in the unit is defaulted to 62 degress, I was hoping that could becdefaulted to what ever you wanted it to be, should you shut off and plug back in. I wish there wasd an on off switch rather than having to unplug. Its not as soacious as I thought 2.5 cubic ft. woukd be. Seals well and is working fine for now, but only had it for less than a month. I also have it in a timer, starting it ever 1hour and 30 minutes, and havi h it run for 30 minutes. In essences a 2 hour cycle.

Bought this for hubby for Christmas and he loves it. Keeps the humidity correct and temp stays. The cigars stay fresh and hubby can enjoy having several different kinds at once m.

This product and company are the worst. The absolute worst. I bought the 2.5 model and it worked fine to start. Then about a year in the temperature fell down to 50 degrees and I couldn’t get it come up. I don’t need to tell you what this did to the humidity within the “humidor”. Now I’ve got about $3,000 worth of crispy Cuban cigars along others. After letting Whynter know about the problem, sending in my original receipt, they told me the fix to this problem would be $80 plus $50 shipping that I would need to pay. Really? You know about this problem with your product and you aren’t willing to stand behind it? No thanks...I’ll just tell my story on the interwebs and warm all my cigar smoking brothers and sisters to steer clear of this product.

Great investment to keep your stogies at a constant 70% humidity and temperature. My cigars have never tasted better ! Recommend this unit for anyone looking for the next level.

Have had this unit for a couple weeks, the seasoning process was easy and I have noticed a much better burn after transfering my cigars from the traditional box humidor to this refrigerated one. This is a must buy, and actually is a great investment!

Do units are a very good idea however they are smaller for the large cigar aficionado I have over 2000 Cigars in my collection and keep them properly condition I have to have three of these units plus a couple of table tops the unit only lasted about three years which is really sad that’s why I purchased this one
