Would have gotten it on Amazon since it was cheap on their website but it had a longer wait time compare to Best Buy. The unit itself works great. Only draw back is that you can't close blinds all the way down across a wide window so it looks funny.

The unit would be more versatile if it had a vent that could be adjusted to lower levels than just the 2 high ones.

We ordered this in the store and it was shipped to our home. They upgraded us to the model with a heater at no cost. Will not know how good it really is till July.

This is a great purchase and does its job well but the air flow design could be better. It flows up instead of out so we taped a small box to the top to help direct the air.

We purchased this air conditioner for our large upstairs bedroom. We have a very high ceiling and the room gets hot during the summer. The unit is simple to "install", and cools the room within a short period of time. We can finally get a comfortable night's sleep without our large house air conditioner cycling on and off all night, using a great deal more electricity.

My old AC wasn't cutting it and this one is infinitely better! Helps that it looks great too!

Purchased 23 months ago. Now it wont drain water. Lucky I have a 2 year warranty. Dont buy without getting the extra warranty.

First it came broken. Secondly it’s not a 14,000 BTU unit as it’s advertised but a 9,500 BTU. For the little bit that it worked it blow cold air but I can’t give it any more than 1 star cause the company lied about the BTU of the unit and I need a 14,000 btu unit not a 9,500. I’m sure it works for some but for me it’s a no go.

Whether you get this unit, or like me get a free upgrade to the Arc 143mx when buying this unit, whynter makes the best portable air conditioners. The only thing I wish their units had were better hand hold grips for moving the unit around. Also I hope they release another drain bucket since the official one is discontinued.

I used to live in a trailer and I had purchased a 14,000 BTU window unit. This unit provided cold for most of the trailer except the far front room which got most of the sun. So when searching for a new unit I looked for a larger BTU unit thinking this was the amount of cooling power I wanted. The Whynter unit is nice, not that loud but in terms of cooling power I was not that impressed. Even standing in front of the unit I was still not that impressed. It does an OK job and so I kept the unit as I needed it but I would not recommend it to the next person as it is too weak for what it should be capable of.

Youll put this together and find yourself struggling to put the hoses in the window. Youll fix one and then the other will fall. Youll twist ans try to lock in place, it may even work but when you try to do thr same with the other, the first will fall. This was 30 mins of my life sweating. The piece that holds the hoses is the window is either too small with one piece or to wide with the other…… more money spent more problems

Gets the room cool and like that you can't set it by hours .

I really enjoy using this product in my bedroom.I wish I had gotten another one for another room.
