    Assigned installer unqualified to do the work.

    The technician was unqualified (not permitted) to install the camera. He could work only with low voltage. The camera and installation were purchased together, the mismatch was made by Best Buy/Geek Squad. Yet we were charged for the aborted work; the issue has not been resolved yet.

    The young man said we did not have adequate Internet to allow the installation of the Arlo security cameras. Additionally he said they do not go higher than 10 feet. They should have told me all this before I purchased the cameras.

    Geek Squad installed security cameras

    Although the install did take place, the cameras have not worked in this location. So, I feel like I have a lot invested in these 2 cameras plus installation fee, for them to not work.

    After waiting over two weeks to get my camera installed from the geek squad they had sent a third party that was very rude and I'm ignorant and they did not hook up my camera system then I had to wait another week for the Geek Squad to come hook up my camera system and they did not want to get on the Pole to hook it up so they never hooked up my camera system I had to do it myself after almost 30 days

    If there was a possibility of giving negative stars, i would have done that. The item itself was cancelled, but i was charged for the installation. As i write the review, i have had at-least 10 follow ups on phone and chat with customer service and they are still not willing to refund me the money for installation. On the phone, or on the chat they keep transferring me to someone else saying either their system is down or needs reboot or they dont have expertise to help me.

    The Guy always try to install the Camera as low as he can. He tried to put all the camera very low that make the job easier for him. But the problem is pedestrian can easy to catch the Camera by hands. We ask him to place the Camera higher but he said No, then he left without the half of his job ( 3 outdoors 1 indoor Camera ) still in the box !!! That’s how Greek Squad treat Total Tech customer ?

    Every time Best Buy's third party installation service provider(s) comes to do installation at my house, they are always in a hurry to finish. Their greeting as soon as they they arrive is they are already running late using that as an excuse to rush things resulting in poor quality work. Because of these bad experiences, I am contemplating cancelling my Total Tech Support membership.

    Will not use geek squad service ever again

    The agent inadequately installed cameras. The cameras did not capture zones and were off balance. I had to reinstall the cameras myself and secure them properly. Agent also complained about helping to set up Alexa show and told me I should’ve been charged more for the set up. He complained that the selling agent didn’t charge me but included it in the set up. I didn’t appreciate his poor attitude and poor quirky I’d service so I set the Alexa up myself.

    Indeded up installing ourselves. They where not going to do the wiring. Just plug in to outlets. And there was no outlet near where camera was going to be put.

    The product was not installed because the wire was too short on the camera, which was fine. I called for a refund for the services not performed due to the wiring issue. I was told it would be refunded. Shockingly the low rating is even just for being charged without a service being performed. It also does not work; was sent another and still having issues connecting the devices. Not one to leave a bad review but for some reason after hours of back and forth I still don't have a refund so here we go.

    This was on special at Christmas. i ordered it and ordered the install as well. The cameras were supposed to be brought with the geek Squad to my home or at least delivered prior. The install went through but not the cameras. I spent over 3 hours on the phone and eventually went into a best Buy where they cancelled the order and then tried to get me to repurchase at full price. Not a great way to do business.

    Best Buy is a nightmare to deal with. I have spent hours and hours on the phone making complaints trying to remedy the situation and Best Buy has not yet remedy the situation I spent months waiting for my product.
