one of my all time favorites movies when I was a kid...and it still shines after all these years...gene Wilders performance in this films is funny and unpredictable in so many ways and the supporting cast just adds to the magic...a must see for all ages!!!

Remakes are usually better the second time around. Not in this case. Gene Wilder makes a wonderful yet spiteful character that teaches children how to act while in public and appreciation for what they have while giving a great performance and cinematography. The end proves that with tact and honesty, one can successfully get or be what they want.

A movie about a creepy unhinged weirdo with a magical child abducting/torturing candy factory manned by a race of short orange people? Family holiday classic! Go ahead, lick the walls, they’re snozberry flavored!

Gene Wilder as a crazy confectioner what more could you ask for? I grew up with this movie and finally got around to getting it for my collection. While the Johnny Depp version is ok the original is still my favorite. The kids are brattier, there's Slugworth, and of course fizzy lifting drink!!! A must have for any collection.

This is a must for all Blu-Ray collections. There will never be another Willy Wonka as good as the original. This classic is timeless and all generations should watch this movie on a family movie night. Pop a large bowl of popcorn and singalong with Willy and he teaches the kids several morals that still stand today. Enjoy!

Great movie for the family. I watched this when I was kid and became a fan of Gene Wilder. The 4k version doesn't look much different than the blu-ray bit for the price that I got it and I couldn't resist getting it.

This 4k restoration is one of the best that I have seen! The level of detail that the picture quality brings out is incredible. The audio is great as well, but for this movie the stand out is in the picture quality.

I purchased the movie under the impression of getting the code as well, but I came to find out the digital code has expired and I reached out to wb and they said they wont renew or give me a new one because its not based on the sale but of the release so if you plan on buying this or other wb movies be warned that the codes are most likely expired. I found out when i came back to the store and asked about an exchange and saw the next copy had the exact same issue. The same happened with Mortal Kombat and a Clockwork Orange.

Finally, a corrected version of the classic film. The previous version Release a Bluray for the 40th anniversary, was incorrectly transferred and the picture appeared off center. This one was more natural and looks great in 4K and sounds awesome with the DTS MA soundtrack. The colors are magnificent as if the film was freshly made. This classic belongs in all 4K collections, for those who like these types of films.

Always a fun escape with a classic movie! My kids had never seen this movie, so I decided to get it in 4k because, why not? It looks great for the age and style of the film. Couldn't be much happier.

I bought this movie orignally on VHS probably 20 years ago and, on a whim, sat and watched it with my children. They are in elementary school and thoroughly enjoyed it. So, when the opportunity came to buy it on DVD, especially with all the bonus features, it was a no-brainer. A great movie, made even better through digital processing.

picture quality is amazing, the colors when they get into the candy room inside is amazing for a film this old.. I just wish they included a dolby atmos mix for this movie but it still sounds great

This is a great story and an excellent telling of it. Although the special effects are better in the remake, this is the original and is better than that newer version in almost every other way. If you have never seen this movie, you should as it will fill you with happiness.

Such a classic, based largely on Gene Wilder's amazing performance -- he can be hilarious and unsettling, almost sinister, all at once. Great memories from childhood. Even though Tim Burton's remake was supposedly truer to Roald Dahl's book, it was far inferior to this gem.

Absolutely worth getting in 4K if you have a player. The movie has really never looked better. I'm a giant fan and I'm glad I got it.

If been told that this Willie Wonka movie is a little different than both the book and the newer Johnny Depp version of this movie but despite the limited cast I feel that Gene Wilder made this movie the best & most memorable of all the different versions I mentioned above.

This new 4K UHD disc of Willy Wonka looks absolutely phenomenal. It was like experiencing the film for the first time all over again. Incredible HDR highlights and a nice new Dolby Atmos surround Track.

This has been a favorite for my wife and I for many years. It was the unfortunate passing of Gene Wilder that had me out looking for this movie again on Blu-ray. My kids have seen the updated version with Johnny Depp, but found pleasure in the original much in the same way that I did when I was a kid!

This is a great movie for the family, both young and old! I can still remember seeing this as a kid some XX years ago and have now introduced it to my grandchildren. The new WW with Johnny Depp was OK, but you will find this original one far better and more endearing. Gene Wilder is masterful!

I’m glad I upgraded from Blu-ray to 4K because you can definitely see the difference. You can literally see Gene Wilder’s orifices on his face. This is a must have for any Wonka fan. Truly amazing!
