Have always loved this movie and was excited to hear my son's teacher was reading the book to their class. Bought the movie after they finished the book and he has watched it several times already.

This has become one of our 6 year old granddaughter's favorite DVDs to watch. We have to keep it in the car, so she can watch it when we're traveling. It was a great buy! She's watched it several times and isn't tired of it yet.

my brother and i grew up watching this movie so it brings back a little childhood memiors that we sometimes lose during the busy lives

Amazingly redone in 4k uhd. The audio track is amazing. This update is like watching a whole new movie. Love the movie even more now.

If you haven't seen the original version of this movie, I highly suggest you take the time to do so! Something about the older movies that gives me a warm, fuzzy feeling inside! A true tribute to Gene Wilder.

Excellent! It was educational for the kids to see that movies made first had a lot different things to offer than the remade ones. Highly recommend

I have always loved the original version of this story, chiefly because of the actors and the wonderful "antique special effects" which makes this film so unique. It is always a nice trip down memory lane for me watching it.

Although we know of a more recent remake that was excellent, this movie features recently deceased Gene Wilder. Besides being very multitalented his subtle sense of humor is easily missed. He does not draw a lot of attention to himself in this more classic version and this style lets the story tell itself better. Worth another watch as we are older and will see the subtleties. Also a collectors item.

I see something new every time I watch this. And growing up watching it every year now I can watch it anytime in HD. In an age of special effects this movie holds its own. A must watch for every single person!

This movie never should have been remade. The blu ray transfer is beautiful. Gene Wilder was amazing in this movie and it was one of the first movies to truly capture another world from a book. Beautiful colors.

This is one of my favorite childhood movies and now I have my kids hooked on it, too. They've seen the new one with Johnny Depp as well as this one and I think they may have liked this one even more than the other!

A great old school movie. A classic to be honest. The remake doesn't do it justice, this one shows the wonders of having a dream to keep chasing and the musical section are very catchy and iconic.

I love this movie and it's such a classic. Was so happy I saw this on sale and it's the Blu ray version! Very good movie and I think it's way better than the newer versions. Nothing beats the original.

Bought this for my 8 year old daughter, sat down and watched it together, and realized that this movie has no time-barrier. Still as awesome as I can remember when I was a child watching with my parents. GENE WILDER!!!

Still the best after all of these years, even better than the newer version that came out. A plus enjoying on Blue Ray. Modernizes this family classic for another generation. Family entertainment for sure.

Who would not like a movie with a name like Willy Wonka? This is the best Willy Wonka movie ever. Will share with and enjoy with my family!

I have seen Willie Wonka countless times, yer watching it on bluray is like seeing it for the first time. Some films are made for HD and this is one. Contrast is spot on and there is absolutely no grain. A perfect presentation

Great movie. Definitely like the version with Gene Wilder better than the one with Johnny Depp. Both good but preferred the original. This movie is fun for people of all ages. A classic. Loved it!
