Just an oldie but a goodie. Great in blue ray enhanced

The 4K picture quality and sound were great. Looked like a recent release. However, it shows it’s age. Only fans should pick this up.

This was another film purchased for my girlfriend. I prefer the Burton version due to the texture, and look of the film. And quite frankly, Wilder's version of Willy Wonker was creepy.

Great movie, but I still don’t have it because Best Buy uses USPS which is the slowest shipping. Should of had it on release day but got mis-routed and they are taking there time to correct the issue. Not happy at all and have to fight with reps to get compensated for it being late.

Classic movie. Fell asleep only once. Kids had nightmares.

Best buy don't usally takes back open movies and I don't think this fear to customers because in my case,I open the movie and now might not get another one,and I love this movie and wanted my kids to see this movie and they were disappointed

I was going to give this Blu-ray as a gift for Xmas but Best Buy store gave me a dented dvd case when I picked it up curbside.

The digital copy only works on movies anywhere not Vudu

The Website described this particular DVD version as being the 2-disc Anniversary Edition. It wasn't. Only had a single disc.

I won't bore you with yet another "review" of this film or my personal opinion of it. You want to know what I think of the BD version, right? My short answer: This BD looks and sounds so good that I've already given away my DVD of it. The Blu-ray Disc of Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory is the best I have ever seen of the film. Image quality is sharp & clean and the colors stand out like candy. The DolbyTrueHD sound is excellent allowing all the dialogue and songs to come through crystal-clear. This BD case is like a book with many pages for the fans. My ONLY (small) regret is that the back cover containing all the BD information is not printed on the book, and instead is merely a printed page that eventually comes loose and detaches after a short while (whereas my "Easy Rider" BD is the same type of book and the information is printed on the back cover - much better!). If you like (or love) this movie and are wondering if the BD is worth the money, wonder no more. You will be pleased with your decision to make the switch to Blu-ray for Wonka.

I had this movie on VHS until the tape worn out. Seriously, how many of us wish that we could all be in a room where everything is edible (outside of the fact that the cup that Gene Wilder bites into is wax--I always thought that it was hardened sugar)? The music is great, acting is wonderful (especially the late Jack Albertson who portrayed Grandpa Joe). I also loved the extras, even seeing what the five ticket winners are up to now in real life. I also did not know that Gene Wilder went to the University of Iowa as a theatre and music major. If you are a fan of musical theatre or musicals, you need to get this movie. Show it to your kids, your grandkids--anyone! The whole movie showed to me many things, the biggest ones being not to be gluttonous, spoiled, rude, or inattentive. Be yourself and be truthful will always shine through.

This is a great movie at for $6 you can't beat it for the HD Digital Copy that's included. There is absolutely nothing mentioned about the digital copy on the packaging, so I was really hesitant to buy this... from the bin in my local Best Buy. But sure enough, I opened it up and found my 'golden ticket' inside with the code for the UltraViolet HD movie (redeemable through either Vudu or Flixster). Great deal!

Gene Wilder gives his best performance ever in this classic tale based on the Roald Dahl childrens book. I've never heard a single person who has seen this movie say they disliked it. Truly a cinematic masterpiece that stands in a league of its own. One of the best special edition dvd's ever in my opinion. Be sure to buy this widescreen edition which features the film in its original theatrical aspect ratio. Highest recommendation!

I love this movie. I have been waiting to find the HD version. It is so enhanced that you actually see the strings that they used for certain scenes. That is a slight drawback to the quality but also reminds us how far we have come in our special effects over the last 35 years.

This is one of the many movies on my all-time favorites list, and also one that everyone should have. The very-odd (putting it lightly) Willy Wonka played by Gene Wilder is perfect, and draws you in along with the songs. It's a definite must-see if you haven't seen it before and a must-own.

Gene Wilder delivers an iconic performance in what is no doubt in iconic film. There are not many films which people continue to watch, show their kids, and has maintained cultural relevance for over 40 years as this film has accomplished.

This is a family favorite, great fun, and a few lessons to be learned for the younger crowd. Very young kids may not have the attention span needed for a few of the slower parts in the first half, but once in the chocolate factory, the fun really begins. Skip the remake, it's just creepy.

I Wish I Could Have Been In This Movie. It's So Amazing. This Movie Is Hilarious And Also Captures The Imagination. It's The Best. I Watch It Everyday. I'm Building My Own Chocolate Factory And I'm Working On Getting Some Oompa Loompas. Anyone Willing To Work In My Factory? T r i x y
