It doesn’t eliminate all smells no matter how strong you turn the fan inside I placed it everywhere and doesn’t pull pollutants correctly even though my room is small

Gets the job done if you need to use it. You will need to use it btw.

I'm still up in the air about this I'm not for sure, It doesn't seem to take odors out of my house. Not sold on this item as of yet

I like this but was afraid to use the plasma wave technology since it emits ozone. I returned the product.

I have bought two. Excellent air purifiers! Highly rated by CR. I’ve had them for about a year with no problems.

Didn't see much of a difference in air quality and still a lot of dust around the unit.

I've had issues with allergies and dust so i read up and have seen people recommend a purifier. I originally just went with a Coway since it was cheap, but it worked and I decided to go with another so I could have one the basement and one in my office/bedroom. This time I decided to actually research and this product came well regarded. It seems to work very well and is quiet (much quieter than the Coway), I've only used it a couple months at this point, but right now it's worth 5 stars to me.

I bought this air purifier due to southern California fires. My house smelled of smoke and there was ash in and around my home. I originally bought two air purifiers and returned one as the 5500-2 took care of my needs for a 3 bedroom/2 bath home. I move it from room to room through out the day. I also put it in my bedroom on level 3 prior to going to bed, then turn on the 1hr timer, night mode, when in bed. Only thing I don't like is the chime when it turns off, but have not explored to see if I can silence it. Haven't used the remote but really like the timer option. I appreciate the light bar that lets you know the level of particles being removed: blue (clear/clean), orange (medium), red (high amount of particle removal). When blue is solid, I move it to another room. This has made a big difference in my life as I am sensitive to smells, especially smoke, and particles. Regarding 5300 vs 5500: I don't think it matters unless you want a remote control. It may be nice if you don't use the timer and want to turn off the unit while you are in bed. Since I just got the unit, I haven't tried washing the charcoal filter either. That filter option comes with the 5500.

Quiet. Works quickly. Purifying a living room and a den. Within a few days, we smelled the difference. Checked the filter and saw the dirt we used to inhale. Highly reccommend. Blows cool air from the back.

I've been looking for a good air purifier for awhile and after trying out a few of the easier to find ones locally, I decided to give this a shot. So far it's reached every expectation except one... which is suction power. I think personally I was looking for something to amaze me by being able to suck air from 10 ft away, but I don't think that's how any of these things work. I lit an incense and noticed it still pulling smoke in from about 3 ft away which is still pretty good since these things are supposed to purify while circulating the air. In the end, it works and i'm happy with it. I'm going to buy another right after this review. The thing that really sells me on it is the noticeable difference in air when I step out my room and walk towards my kitchen... the air in my room just feels cleaner. buy it!

I’ve had two of these for 9 months and getting more for the rest of the house, easy to clean and we can tell a difference.

My air purifier helps alert me when my neighbor is cooking/smoking crack ir meth. Sheriff confirmed meth use, thank you winix. I would have never realized why there’s been blood in my stool and continuous nausea and vomiting due to drug manufacture/use if it wasn’t for this air purifier. You can also use this for “dabs” dabs will clear up in 10 minutes from red to blue. Drug fumes from neighboring meth labs takes a long time to clear up however

I live in Northern California, and I bought this unit not too long before the Camp fire started. I used this product around the clock when the Camp Fire engulfed the Bay Area with dangerous smoke. It worked great and has color settings to let you know if there is bad air. Gave my family piece of mind and I have very sensitive breathing, this worked great.

Really happy with this product. It has wonderful features, i just turn it on and forget it. I also like the sleep mode, it turns on automatically when i turn the lights off and so quiet. Also Best Buys delivered it earlier than expected.
