Absolutely riveting movie, not to be missed. Wonderful exploration of poverty and crime, with amazing almost-palpable menace - terrific performances all around.

The movie was drawn out and I found it boring. My son liked it because everywhere the girl went looking for her dad, the people offered her drugs. I liked the way it ended, but it took a long time to get there.

Didn't know what to expect from this movie but Jennifer Lawrence was very good in this movie. I believe it was one of her early ones, before she really hit it big. My husband and I enjoyed it.

This movie in my opinion was not very good it was sad violent and altogether not something I would watch again .I kept waiting for it to get better but it didn't the movie plot stinks

The movie had a dark and very sad feeling. It was not a uplifting movie, but just because it wasn't my favorite doesn't mean someone else wouldn't like it.

Not my type of movie, my girlfriend made me buy it and watch it. Real slow movie, never got interested in the story. End of the movie could have been a lot better than what it was.

Winter's Bone is a stark, almost documentary-like movie. The plot was quite tense and engrossing. The Winter's Bone is a rich, satisfying film that more than deserves the accolades it has been receiving

I only bought this because my wife loves Jennifer Lawrence. Its a good interesting building story but the ending is kind of weak. I liked it but its not great.

I found this in the bargain bin and thought we'd give it a try since Jennifer Lawrence is such a wonderful actress. It was a very entertaining movie, which we've watched several times.

this movie was long...at times boring....if I wasn't nosey to see the end, I would have stopped watching it.....glad I didn't pay a lot of money for it....

I've been in the process of completing an expansive DVD/BluRay collection and noticed this was on sale. One more to add to the collection.

Thus far, it has not grabbed my attention. For some reason I become easily distracted. I guest one day I will sit down and watch it from beginning to end.

This movie is good. The reason I only gave it a 3 stars is because is kind of confusing. You have to watch it twice or more to understand what really happening.

I had never heard of this movie before but it was cheap and I need to spend a certain amount of money so I grabbed it and it turned out to be really good.

JLaw's most real work. Most of what you see her doing, she used to do IRL. When asked what she'll do next: " thinking about buying a house. And a big dog. And a shotgun".

Don't judge this movie by the summary on the jacket. I read the jacket and thought "maybe ... ok ... i guess I will try it". After watching the movie I was glad I did.
