Obvious to see why Jennifer Lawrence became a huge star. Great story, great acting and great directing. Not a happy story - but very compelling and real. Well worth a watch.

Book turned to movie. It starts a little slow but great meaning behind it. The story of a daughters bravery to save her family when her father disappears.

This is a nice surprise because I did not know Jennifer Lawrence had this movie before. I enjoy this movie as I always enjoy Jennifer's excellent performance.

Fun to see Jennifer Lawrence in one of her first movies, and she did a superb job acting. The movie, however, is very dark and depressing.

No wonder this film made more than one critic's 'year's best' lists!--Moving performances in an outstanding movie means I'll be seeing it again very soon.

This is a very dark and slow movie. Jennifer Lawrence did a very good job as the 17 year old girl trying to salvage her family.

This movie was entertaining. I watched the entire movie because I was curious about what had happened. It was different.
