The movie is a classic - everyone knows the story and sings along, but Judy Garland's rendition of "Somewhere over the Rainbow" and last line "There's no place like home" always bring a tear to this viewer. This 75th anniversary edition DVD includes deleted scenes and interviews with Munchkins and Buddy Ebsen (original casting for Tinman). There's even a section on how they filmed the tornado. I loved all the extras.

I enjoyed watching The Wizard of OZ when I was growing up and now my kids do also! So when I saw this anniversary 3D edition I thought it was worth looking into. WOW! It looks amazing! For a movie as old as it is, it was restored beautifully and the 3D isn't cheezy it looks terrific. Definitely a must have for every family!

It's hard to go wrong on a Classic like the Wizard of Oz and 3D is definitely a bonus...or will be as soon as we get that 4K 55" Smart TV with 3D and player (from Best Buy.) We've been picking bargain Blu-Rays waiting for 4K content and find that Best Buy has a great inventory, well organized and competitively priced.

The Wizard of Oz [SteelBook] [Includes Digital Copy] [4K Ultra HD Blu-ray/Blu-ray] [Only @ Best Buy] [1939] - This will be added to my home video collection. The 8K scan of this film was really done with care. Disappointed that the Blu-ray wasn't a new pressing based off the 8K scan. No 3D disc.

I have been watching the Wizard for countless years and I have 4 copies one for each time it was reissued this 4k is unbelievable I see something different every time I watch it! The quality is worth every penny

My daughter had never seen this movie and it was on sale, so I decided to buy it for her. I hadn't seen it in decades and didn't think that she would like it with all the high tech movies she is used to watching. I was wrong. We watched it together and it was still a awesome movie watching experience. She liked it and it was as good as I remembered when I watched 30 years ago.

Who doesn't love this movie! Wizard of Oz is a classic in every way! And this edition is fantastic! It hard to believe that it's been over 75 years. I would have gotten this if it's was just bluray, but it also comes with a 3D version, now while I like 3D, I don't believe every movie needs it, but in this it adds something that hard to describe in words. Get this movie in 3D! Also the metal pack is awesome!

I recently picked up a copy of The Wizard of Oz in 3D. I wasn't expecting much of the 3D effect in a film that had been shot in 1939 and converted to 3D on Blu-ray but this disc amazed me. A friend had told me how good it looked and I didn't believe him. But it's true, the depth of the 3D image is there throughout the movie. I was pretty impressed.

I bought this movie for my wife Rasha. I grew up watching it in TV it's the first time I've ever seen it without commercials. I've loved it since I can remember but to share it with my sweet wife Rasha. That's really the best thing. Yes it's a great movie and I'd recommend this to all my friends and even strangers. Bring on the fling monkeys.....lol

Since I was a little boy in the 1950's watching The Wizard of Oz once a year-usually at my Grandma's house because she had a color tv!-this has been my favorite film. Thus, over the years, I have purchased many editions of this film-on VHS, laserdisc (Criterion looked spectacular!), dvd, Bd and now 4K. The color palette and sound on the 4k are fantastic, however I personally don't notice a vast improvement over the blu-ray. I have a 65" LG OLED C8 and the color on it is awesome as it is, so I would say that if you love this film as I do the 4K is something you will want in your collection.

What can I say? This movie is a legend. The film has been cleaned up very well from the original and even from what you may have seen on TV. The audio is very good for being originally released in 1939. They removed the Dolby TrueHD 5.1 track with a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 track but you can still access the original mono track if you prefer.

This movie is timeless, for all ages for all times. I loved Judy Garland in this. She was so talented. Each actor was well chosen for their part. And the color and cinematography is great for its time. I am a grandma and still enjoy the youthful spirit of this movie. My grandkids do too. One of those you sing to and find yourself singing the music of long after the movie is over!

This is a classic movie to begin with so I wont rate it on that. What I will rate is the 3D effect and the extras. I will tell ya this.....its well worth the money!!! UI was very impressed with the 3D effects in this movie.

I purchased this for my grandson who will be 5. He saw the trailer for this movie at the beginning of another movie just before Halloween. He talked about the melting witch for weeks. I was excited to find the 75th anniversary edition to give him for the upcoming Halloween, especially since I watched it every year growing up. I'm hoping when he turns 5 it will be more age appropriate.

I visited store to purchase 3D version of Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and was disappointed that all copies were gone. Don't know why Best Buy allows people to by up all the copies and then try to re-sell them on eBay. This was 2 days after the movie was released on blue ray. At any rate, I did find this Wizard of Oz movie in 3D and am pleased with it.

It was a shock to find this movie at Best Buy for such a great price. This is a classic and I believe everyone should have the opportunity to see it at least once in their life. I used this as part of my chinese exchange gift.The person who got it was really happy. Because it was so reasonable it was a great addition with the other items I had to complete the gift. It was a good find!

How could you go wrong with this one. Watched it every year around the holidays as a kid growing up, and now I can watch it whenever and wherever I want with the digital copy that's included. And it includes the 3D version, which I must say was an excellent conversion in the movie theater.

A great addition to my recent purchase of a Panasonic UB4520 Ultra 4k BluRay player. I still own the original DVD but this 4K version is just WOW with my new Sony 85 inch TV, definitely the source film footage is rendered just about perfect with HDR colour mapping.

I already owned the 70th anniversary box set from 5 years ago but I really wanted the 3D edition so I went out it bought it. Best buy had the best deal 19.99 for the steelbook. the 3D presentation is really cool and its like watching it for the 1st time all over again. it really pops. Highly recommended.

For all-time favorite classic movies, you can't go wrong with "The Wizard of Oz"! A great choice for families with kids, or kids-at-heart. The flying monkeys and Wicked Witch of the West never get old, and the friendship between Dorothy, the Scarecrow and Tin Man endure no matter how many decades pass. A timeless film for any generation!
