The second installment of the Wonder women movie is not as good as the first

WW1984 Movie Review! Great 1980's movie set! AND Current (2021) social milieu beingness! So accurate and so apropos to a previous and current mind-set of human thinking and perception! WW1984 presents much good Food For Thought from the social-phenomenon -observing Director of this film, Patty Jenkins. This Director has a very good insightful use of images, script, action, story, plot, actors, sets, fine acting, myths, and so much more! Viewers are encouraged to think for themselves as we all live in 2021, almost 40 years after the setting of WW1984 -- all of us burnished with the by-products of "unlimited unnecessary wish fulfillments." There is much food for thought as each of us must come to grips with what has transpired in each of our own individual lives as a result of so many of our own wishes being fulfilled over time -- 40 years! This coming to terms includes, "Where do I (we) go from here, now, today?" AND,... the personal, internal, INDIVIDUAL reckoning that takes place from examining the numerous thoughts and perceptions generated by this marvelous intelligent film. The personal internal reckoning here need not be a negative, foreboding, dread-filled, crushing weight of realization. Instead, it can be, as it was for me, immensely enlightening and a "squaring of one's own existential existence," complete with one's own furtherance of personal ethics and personal morality! For an observant user of numerous movies and films, there is much FOOD4THOUGHT, Way, Way beyond the obvious social commentaries that this well-made movie presents! Not only is there something for everyone in this movie, but there is Way More than I can write here in this short space to entice the reader to think for himself or herself! P.S. I really liked this WW1984 Second Bonus Disc (way way better than the First Wonder Woman DVD's Special Bonus DVD disc). It is much more informative and comprehensive and better shot and edited than the first bonus disc!

Ok, this one is tough to review. For one thing, the first Gal Gadot Wonder Woman film was amazing, in my opinion. It set a really high bar that this sequel just doesn't reach. That being said, this isn't necessarily a poor film, it just doesn't meet the expectations I had going into this one. The trailer they released for this had me hyped, especially with the remixed Blue Monday track by Sebastian Boehm, but sadly this movie didn't include that track at all. Unfortunately, the hype I received from the trailer didn't carry over while actually watching the movie. There are plenty of great moments though, and the actresses/actors all play their roles very well. Gal Gadot makes an incredible Wonder Woman overall and Kristen Wiig shines as Barbara Minerva, aka Cheetah. Pedro Pascal is charismatic as always playing Maxwell Lord, and Chris Pine returns as Steve Trevor, though I won't spoil how that works. I do enjoy the movie overall and this was simply a lesson learned of tempering your expectations for the next time.

Gal Gadot is a reminder that she is the best Wonder Woman so far.

Upon initial release, WW84 was torn apart by critics and audiences alike. Unfortunately that seemed to leave others out in the wind on whether or not they wanted to see it. I was skeptical going in but overall, I actually had a really fun time watching it. I decided not to pick it bone by bone down to the smallest plot hole and it was hard not to at times, but after it was all over, I concluded maybe people were taking this way more seriously than need be. The 80's stylistic approach not only in filming, but the tone in general really helped me get over all the other negatives. The story is basically uncanned out of a plethora of different ideas, as if the screenplay had multiple writers, but everything else is terrific. The bright, wonderful cinematography looks absolutely fantastic in 4K. The production design and especially the costumes really stood out as well. Gal Gadot is once again charming as Diana and though it was a misstep on why and how he was handled story wise, Chris Pine was a welcome return as his and Gadot's chemistry are tops. Overall, I liked it. You may too if you throw it on, ignore the feedback, and let your brain go for 2 1/2 hours.

The theater experience was such a memory I had to grab this 4K collectors item now that the Snyder Verse is ending
