Customers highly value the Compact Globe Oscillating Fan for its airflow, quiet operation at low speeds, and powerful performance despite its small size. The smooth oscillation, compact design, and timer feature are also appreciated. However, some customers have expressed a desire to be able to turn off the indicator lights and have noted that the remote control requires a direct line of sight to function properly.

Powerful Little Thing

This is a powerful little fan that does a lot more than one would expect.
This fan is a glossy white (not matte). The ball of the fan is what oscillates up and down. The stand of the fan (the part with the controls on it) is what oscillates left and right.
The fan has a remote control and all the controls are also on the base of the stand. Power button. Timer button with either 1 hour, 2 hours or 4 hours; fan speed. There are 5 levels of fan but only 3 numbers for some strange reason -- level one has three levels, and then level 2 and then level 3. They are all together though. Breeze button - I honestly did not feel anything different with this setting so I don't get it. Oscillate button. On the base, there is one button, so you have to push it once for one way, a second time for the other way, a third time for both ways together and a fourth time to stop the oscillation. This makes it cumbersome. Whereas, on the remote, one button for left-right oscillation and another button for up down oscillation.
It would be nice if the fan had some type of auto setting (may auto timer or something).
Whatever settings you have the fan on, when you turn it off, it saves your settings. Turn it back on and it does what it was doing. The book says when you unplug it, it does not save where you had it set, but it does. That's cool.
The fan says it is quiet. But the truth is, it is quiet on level 1-1 and 1-2. After that, all that power it is pushing out makes it suddenly loud and louder with each next level (1-3 to 2 to 3). It gets loud, period.
It's great that the fan has a remote. One thing about the remote though. If you hit the buttons you want in succession then it will do what you say. But once you pause, you have to push the button (the button that you want) twice for it to register. It's like the first push wakes it up and then the second push does the action. This is annoying.
With that said, this fan has enough positives and packs a lot of good punch. I should also mention that the power of the fan goes far. I could only put whole stars, but I would give it a 4.5. I would recommend.

Little guy can move a lot of air!

Sometimes you need to move some air but don't need full on AC. Other times just AC isnt enough and it that conditioned air needs to directed or circulation needs to be increased. The Woozoo Globe is fairly compact but moves a lot of air. The fan has a good range of motion side to side but also oscillates up and down. This motion can be up and down only or left to right only or BOTH. The only range of motion this fan is lacking is the ability to blow downward below the base.
All controls are on the base as well as the included remote. The fan base has LEDs which will tell you user what modes are active but are rather bright. Thankfully the LEDS can be shut off for nighttime operations! Also having a fan this size a remote should be a given. It is compact and will likely dive into the abyss of the couch cushion. There was thoughtfully a little loop so a bit of string or a lanyard of some sort can be tied to it. I was wondering if there was onboard storage for the remote and was pleasantly surprised to find it on top of the globe in the handle. The fan can also be disassembled for access to the fan blade and interior of the housing for easier cleaning.
The fan features most standard functions such as oscillations, breeze, shut off time and 5 fan speed controls. Noise levels for a fan blades this size on max are definitely audible, but by no means obtrusive but you know a fan is running. As mentioned earlier this small fan can really move/direct air. I can easily feel it circulate from across 20ft in my living room. I have also used it to push/draw hot air from the vent into another room.
Ideally the placement of this fan would be lower to the ground or level with the user as it only oscillates upward and from side to side. Setting it overhead would really only circulate the air above your head. Aside from not being able to move air downward, the Woozoo is a nice compact fan that can be placed almost anywhere to move air warm or cold air at or around you.

Excellent little fan with remote

The Woozoo Compact Globe Oscillating Fan is a very effective little fan that pushes more air than you would think. Out of the box, the fan requires no assembly. The fan has controls on the unit, but it also has a remote with controls that needs clear plastic tabs removed so that its battery makes contact with the battery terminals. The fan blades are enclosed inside a sphere that sits on a pedestal with a circular base. The controls (on the remote and on the unit) include 5 speeds to choose from, a breeze simulation button, horizontal pattern button, vertical pattern button, and a timer button if you want to set a turnoff timer. Of note is that the fan will do a horizontal and vertical pattern at the same time which maximizes the fan coverage. At the highest speed, the fan is still fairly quiet compared to other fans I have while still blowing quite hard. One thing that is different from other fans I have used is that moving the fan sphere is all done by the unit, not by hand. This is not the sort of fan where you maneuver the face of the fan to point in a certain direction by hand. In this case, you use the controls to move the sphere horizontally and vertically until it is pointing in the desired direction and then push the respective button again to stop it; or you can move the base to change the direction of the entire unit. I love the wind simulation feature because it randomly changes speed just like the breeze from a window. This would be an excellent bedroom fan for warm nights, but it is also a good work fan because it is so quiet and focused. You can put a breeze on yourself without it also being picked up by a mic. I was impressed with this fan and would recommend it for anyone interested in a small fan.

Great Fan - Moves Some Air

The WOOZOO Compact Globe 5 Speed Oscillating Fan with Remote is an amazing little fan for a small room or office. The fan pushes out some serious air when turned on high, but also has a wonderful breeze mode that gentle, and quietly, keeps air moving.
The fan not only oscillates left and right like many fans do, it oscillates up and down as well. Even better, have the fan oscillate in all directions at once. keeping air moving from all angles ensuring a better cooling experience in a room.
The included remote is a nice addition allowing you to control the fan across a room. The timer setting is great if you want to run the fan for a certain time limit having it shut off after a certain amount of time.
Although the fan moves some serious air, it works best in a smaller room, 400 sqft or less. I use the fan in my office allowing me to stay cool while working. It does a wonderful job in keeping air circulating around and the quiet white noise generated in breeze mode is a wonderful addition.
All in all, if you need a great, small, but powerful fan for your room, this is a no brainer.

WOOZOO Globe Fan will blow you away—no pun intended. It was surprising to experience the full effect of this small desk fan across the room, especially at higher speeds. It's a high-velocity fan packaged in a small desk fan. I was surprised to discover that a fan of such a small size could outperform a tower fan on moderately warm days when it's not quite air conditioner weather.
It has an oscillating left-to-right and up-and-down function. It includes a remote that's neat if you're like me, a sometimes couch potato. You can change the speed from across the room. I have the fan in my family room, and everyone loves it.
The WOOZOO Globe Fan has genuinely impressed me with its performance and features. The ability to set timers for automatic shut-off is a great energy-saving feature, ensuring the fan doesn't run constantly when not needed. And the best part? The fan is incredibly quiet, making it perfect for any room. I'm so satisfied that I plan to buy two more for my home.

Compact But Packs a Punch!

Don't underestimate the WOOZOO Globe Fan because of its compact size. In spite of its diminutive size it punches way above its weight class. It moves a shockingly high volume of air with ease. As advertised, it does create full room circulation.
Another great thing that makes this fan really stand out is the ultra quiet operation.Even at the highest setting the powerful motor does not exceed 35 decibels. I like to use it when I am watching TV or listening to music because it does not disrupt the sound.
The compact size makes this fan easy to place and move around as needed. The extra long (5.5 feet) power cord assists with placement. It can be easily placed on the floor, table, or kitchen counter.
This fan has all standard features you would expect, but also some unique ones such as horizontal and vertical rotation.
The remote control is full function. In other words it does what it is supposed to do by accessing all of the features of the fan.
I was really impressed by this handy room fan. I was pleasantly surprised by how powerful this compact fan is. It is easy to move around the home and plan to use it frequently.

This is the most versatile fan I have ever seen and it's very easy to use!
Design
The base and neck are rounded and the top is a globe so if you like round things you'll love it. It has a white glossy finish. The buttons are on the base but always very accessible, regardless of oscillation. They are under a surface that would make them easy to wipe off if you need to clean it. It's just under 11.5 inches high and just over 8.25 inches diameter. The remove is very small but again, easy to work with. It's an infra-red remote so it is line of site but I didn't have any issues with the fan responding to my button presses.
Functions
The features on this fan really impressed me! I love the fact that it can do horizontal and vertical oscillation at the same time! The vertical oscillation goes very high too. Not quite straight up but pretty close to it. It also has a timer for auto shut-off. You can set it for 1, 2, or 4 hours. When it's done it will beep when the fan turns off (possibly helpful because this things is so quiet!!!). A feature it has that I've never heard of is "Breeze". When you set it to Breeze it changes the fan speed between low and something in the middle. It never gets too high but gives nice variation. The manual says "[Natural Breeze] replicates breeze patterns by changing the strength of the air flow". I've used it a bit and think it's a great option to have. I mentioned the fan speeds. There are 5 fan speeds and they are excellent! By that I mean low still puts out a useful amount of air but it's practically silent. The highest setting is very strong for such a little fan! It's still pretty quiet too for such a strong setting. The box says you can feel the air from up to 82 feet away.
Noise
I'm adding a section for this since some may not be interested in the other details. This is a very quiet fan compared to anything I've used. The lowest setting is very functional as far as the amount of air-flow. The highest setting makes some noise but still isn't crazy loud. There are three other settings in-between for you to select just the balance of power and/or noise you're looking for. The oscillation doesn't add any noise at all, as far as I can tell. Well, if you have it on the lowest fan speed you may hear some sound from the motor/motors as it oscillates but I had to have the room quiet and fan speed down. The box says 35 Db. If you want a quiet fan I think this is an excellent choice!
Controls
The buttons are well labeled and work well. There are LEDs that show you which options are selected. I found the controls to be just as responsive from the base or the remote. The controls on the base are duplicated on the remote with the exception of the oscillation. On the base there is one button and it's a three way toggle for horizontal, vertical, or both. On the remote, there are two buttons one for horizontal and the other for vertical. To get both at the same time, just press the second button while the other is already selected. In other words, if it's oscillating vertical and you press the horizontal button it will oscillate in both directions at the same time. It's not hard at all but just odd to me that they used a different way to control it from the remote. The fan beeps when any control changes are made, which I think is helpful because you can tell your button press worked from the remote.
Summary
I love the size, features, and functionality of this fan! For the size, I think it's a very strong fan too! The fan speed options are great, the oscillation going vertical and horizontal at the same time is awesome. It's very easy to use and the included remote works well.

Size Truly Doesn't Matter with the WOOZOO!

Working from home is the norm now for most, and with that, comes sitting in a tiny room that I call an office for 8 hours a day that gets incredibly hot and stuffy, even with AC. Since my room is quite small, there really isn't room for a tower fan or box fan, and they are very noisy and annoying when you are trying to get work done. But wait... there is a solution and it is called WOOZOO!
Upon unboxing the fan, it is pretty small, definitely small enough to put on any desk, nightstand etc. Then I saw it says it can cover up to 300sq ft which I did not believe for such a small fan. Now, my room is 80 sq ft, but my living room is 450. So I first put it in the living room, and it definitely did a great job at circulating the air in the room, I was able to feel the effects in at least half of the living room which for a fan this size, is incredibly impressive.
Now when I put it in my office, that is where it really shined. The natural breeze setting is ultra quiet, provides a great cooling effect, and comfortable. I love how the fan goes up and down along with side to side to get the most air circulation possible. The fan is quiet in all modes, even on max speed, it is way quieter than an equivalent box or tower fan. Another nifty feature of this fan is how they give you suggestions of other uses for it. They tell you how to position it for cooling, for use with a heater, and even for drying clothes!! I actually did use this to dry a cooling blanket of mine, and it dried it within an hour, way way way faster than 24 hours to air dry.
Just get one, get two, get three, get one for every room!! It is the best fan on the market.

So, a fan has been a fan for years until now
First off, this fan looks different from all others
It has a futuristic look and you know that it is special.
Packaging was perfect to prevent transit damage, but not to frustrate you when you go to set it up
It includes a remote so that after you put it where you want it, you never have to touch it again. There is also a slot in the back so that hopefully you never lose it. Controls are also available on the base, with a very pleasing and intuitive design
So how does it work?
Obviously a timer, speed and direction, but also a breeze mode to change it up a bit
Where this fan excels is the full rotation mode. Left to right, and up to down. Keep in mind that the up is nearly full vertical. It gives a room full coverage of air flow
What really blew (literally) me away is how quiet it is. Volume of air is perfect, but there was barely a whisper of sound coming from it. Great for a home office where you don’t want background noise, but perfect for a bedroom where once you hear something, you can’t unhear it
For the price point, it can’t be beat

We had gotten one of these fans for my older son's college dorm room and now we got another for my younger son. This fan is small but powerful. It's the perfect size for your desk whether you're in a dorm room or a work office or cubicle. However, it also works great for larger spaces - somehow it's that powerful. I like that you can control it either with the buttons on the base (if, for example, you're using it on your desk and sitting right next to it) or with the included remote (if you're using it's more powerful speed from some distance away). Speaking of the remote, there is a nice little caddy / holder in the back of the fan so you don't lose it. As noted in, the fan can move in all directions if you want it to, or not move at all - it's up to you. The lights on the base are bright - which is a good thing in daylight, but I can't figure out a way to either dim them or turn them off completely in the night or when the room or area in which the fan is placed is dark. Those lights can be a bit off-setting, but that's a minor grip in an otherwise excellent fan.

A great fan if you like the looks

The most striking thing about this fan is the looks. It is not the same shape as a “standard” fan, and this can be polarizing. Some might like it, and others might not. But you can easily see that in the pictures. It is just under a foot tall, and the blade itself is around five inches in diameter.
Functionally, it works great. At the lowest speeds it is nearly silent. The noise picks up as the speed goes up, but it moves a lot of air. This fan is also unique in that it also offers automated vertical motion. Most fans have a mechanical linkage that controls the horizontal motion. This fan uses a separate motor for horizontal rotation and another motor for vertical rotation, in addition to the blade motor. So this features the ability to automatically rotate horizontally and vertically at the same time. I am not sure how useful it is, but it is there if you want it, and can be turned off if you don’t.
Uniquely, there is also a tiny remote control that duplicates the functions on the base of the unit. In fact, the remote control is better. The base has one button to control rotation, cycling through static, horizontal rotation, vertical rotation, and both. The remote has one button for horizontal rotation and a separate button to control vertical rotation. Another feature is a “breeze” setting that actually varies the fan speed to simulate the varying wind of being outdoors. This is a feature that I don’t find particularly useful, but somebody might.
I am a fan of this product (pun intended), and I hope that it lasts for several years. The weak point of any fan is the bearings on the main motor. I could not find any specifications on the type of bearing used. I certainly hope that it has real ball bearing, or at least a fluid bearing. However, if they had done this, they would likely tout it in the specifications, so I strongly suspect that they are using a sleeve bearing. This means that it might not last a decade of use. However, given the rather reasonable price, I can’t complain too much.

The WOOZOO - Compact Globe Oscillating Fan w/remote - 5 Speed - White is a new type of fan for me. It operates differently from the traditional oscillating fans that can only go left to right. The WOOZOO - Compact Globe Oscillating Fan w/remote - 5 Speed - White can go left to right, but also can go up and down to create air patterns to cool the room down. The versatility of the WOOZOO is a benefit as well with its ability to work in conjunction with an air conditioner and a heater to help increase the rooms air flow. Also laundry drying and helping with circulation and ventilation of one or two rooms is possible. The strengh of the air flow is poweful enough when needed, but I prefer to use the lower speeds to produce a milder constant air current to feel more of a breeze effect. Full oscillation of the WOOZOO - Compact Globe Oscillating Fan w/remote - 5 Speed - White is best with both horizontal and vertical functions working which produces a full room breeze. The WOOZOO - Compact Globe Oscillating Fan w/remote - 5 Speed - White also has a breeze button that creates a light steady air flow that feels similar to a breeze of air outside. The WOOZOO - Compact Globe Oscillating Fan w/remote - 5 Speed - White is the new technology of fans and has opened my eyes to a new type of home cooling. I am happy with my WOOZOO - Compact Globe Oscillating Fan w/remote - 5 Speed - White and need another one for my living room.

This is a neat little fan, well not really little. It is a bit odd how it rotates up down and side to side. The entire fan with rotate side to side, including the base with controls. This leads to one of my issues with the fan. More on that later.
The up and down movement is as expected for that axis. Combining the side to side and up and down actions leads to my second issue with the fan More on that later.
The handle on the back also doubles as a remote storage area. Handy if you move the fan from place to place so you don't lose the remote.
Issues:
1- With the entire fan body rotating, there are times the remote can't control the fan because the receiver is away from you. The receiver is directly under the fans sphere above the base. With the entire body moving, controlling the fan may require yon to chase the controls. Not a big deal, but more than once I hit the wrong button while it was moving.
2- When using side to side and up and down, there is a area in the middle that gets no blow from the fan. It tends to stay at the outer edge rather than a random pattern.
3- The fan blows fairly well, but it is not the most powerful fan I have ever seen. Good airflow but not great.
Overall, very happy with the fan. Just some of the bonus features don't quite deliver like I would have expected them to. The remote is a nice handy addition. Unfortunately it acts like a line of sight remote.
Definitely recommended, but some improvements could be made with future revisions.
