I played world of Warcraft for about 10 years before quitting. I decided to try this expansion and see if I could get back into the game. It was rather disappointing and after only a couple hours I couldn't stand it anymore. The second star is only because the cinematics look good.

The only reason I got this game is because I used a $25 Reward Zone gift card and a 10% off coupon. I would not have bought it if I had to pay the full $50 price.

Expansion was one of the worst expansions yet. Best Buy delivered the quality, but Blizzard lacked it.

I've been playing WoW since the pre-BC days. The MoP expansion easy buttoned WoW and the new WoD expansion mashes the button down even further. It's the same system you've been used to all along, grind to max level and then start working on gear. The only thing they did different with this expansion is the grind from 90-100 is crazy fast. Some players in my guild hit 100 in about a week!

I was quite worried when the info came out that this expansion would be a return to Outlands. We've already been there and done that, and it seemed that this would be a rehash of old textures and locations. It is not. The whole of Outlands has been completely redesigned, as these events are set in the past. There are beautiful new expanses and fully detailed buildings housing numerous NPCs. If you're a hardcore Warcraft player, you'll find dozens of Lore characters in the flesh. They talk with you, fight against you, and enact the events that you expect from them. If you're brand new to WoW, you can do all the multiplayer stuff released in previous expansions with ease, and the new stuff is fun both alone and with friends. If you're wondering if there's anything really new to do, Everything is new, and exciting.

I like having a hard copy of my games and this was a good one until the last patch.

Nice expansion. However, encourages too much solo play.
