Saw BB had the Worx Zipsnip in stock and was curious so picked one up to give it a try. Unboxing: The Zipsnip came with some instructions a charger and the cutter itself, that’s it, pretty simple. Using: The first thing we did was to plug in the included charger and let it charge till the light turned green “about 6 hrs”, then we got to trying it out. It reminded my wife of a small circular saw with a funky blade, and that’s a pretty accurate description. It’s very lightweight and easy to handle, plus it has a security switch that is spring loaded and must be depressed every time you squeeze the handle to activate. I’ve tried cutting paper, heavy weight paper, thin to thicker cardboard, cloth for cutting up rags, even a piece of old carpet “low pile” and it went through everything like butter. It’s great at cutting up shipping boxes and you don’t end up with a sore hand from using a manual tool. I have some arthritis in my hands, and this is great for some simple cutting jobs that are hard to do when trying to hold scissors or box cutter. The guard does make it a little difficult at times to line up but that just took some practice to get it right every time. Even if you do some light metal work this will go through thin gauge metal too. Conclusion: If you do a lot of cutting “paper, cardboard, plastics “it went through some pretty heavy old jugs we had”, various types of cloth, and even went through a coconut milk can like it was nothing. It’s very quick at cutting and the battery lasts a very long time. The blade is replaceable and comes out with one single screw, so maintenance on it is a breeze. Even the piece that the blade runs up against in the guide is replaceable. If you do a lot of crafts and cut mainly long straight lines this is a big help, it will cut curves but need to be larger, and it cuts so fast it will take some practice getting it right. This new Worx Zipsnip is going to be one item on top of my shopping list for a Xmas present to give people, I know they will love it.

A Trimming Delight That Makes Mundane Tasks Fun!

The WORX - 4V ZipSnip Cordless Electric Scissors is a versatile tool that makes trimming & cutting a joy. I found that the hassle of cutting cardboard to fit in the recycling bin is now a simple task that I look forward to with ZipSnip. I use it to cut cardboard & those tough plastic packages that fill the retail shelves today. No more fighting those packages & getting cut with the sharp plastic edges as I stab the package with a box cutter or cut it with hand scissors. Safety was clearly integrated into the design of ZipSnip & was not an after thought. The cutting blade cannot start rotating without pressing & holding the safety release with your thumb. This is a brilliant & most effective design that prevents unintentional activation by a person, or by being bumped in a drawer. An integrated blade guard that keeps fingers away from the rotating blade, enhancing safety even further. The blade has a self sharpening design, making it always ready to go & reduces the battery power requirement of trying to cut with a dull blade. The 4 Volt built-in Lithium-ion battery charges completely in about 5 hours & will hold the charge for several months. CONCLUSION: The ZipSnip Cordless Electric Scissors is a well designed tool that exceeds my expectations & earns my highest recommendation.

    A lightweight handy electric scissors

This 4V ZipSnip cordless electric scissors doses the scissors job. It is light weight and easy to operate with one hand. it has a lock switch like the one in cordless drill drivers, but unlike that it does not switch the direction of the scissors and does not remain permanently on. It will work as long as you keep pressed the on/off switch. Which is I found good safety mechanism. Cutting speed is medium, and it is good for cardboard, paper, PVC and other think plastic material. The blade is sharp and cutting is smooth. It can be operated with either the left or right hand so good for anyone. This is a basic scissors and one thing I felt that if there was a mechanism kind of somehow to auto forward while cutting would have been great. One has to push slightly (not too hard) to cut through. It has only one speed. It is very handy for cutting long cardboard pieces straight, you can also cut curved or round on the edges but needs careful cutting. Overall a lightweight handy electric scissors that does the job efficiently. Pros: Light weight Safety on-off switch Sharp blade Good for straight cuts Cons: Only single speed No auto feed for the cutting material

Works well, cuts up cardboard like I thought it would, just don’t push too hard on it, let the cutter do the work. Not too heavy for me, & like that it’s rechargeable & not battery operated, that would make it bulky & heavy.

I recently started using the rechargeable paper cutter, and it has completely transformed my workspace. Unlike traditional scissors or manual cutters, this tool is powerful, precise, and incredibly user-friendly. The rechargeable battery provides long-lasting performance, and a full charge easily lasts through multiple cutting tasks without slowing down. It cuts smoothly through paper, cardboard, fabric, and even light laminates with minimal effort. The ergonomic design feels comfortable in hand, reducing fatigue during prolonged use, while the safety guard and blade cover give peace of mind, especially around children or in a busy office. Cleanup is also simple, as detachable parts make maintenance easy. Overall, this rechargeable cutter offers excellent performance, efficiency, and convenience — a real upgrade for home, school, or office projects.

    What a Useful Tool!

My spouse and I recycle and in this world of online purchases and deliveries it does not take long for my garage to get over run with cardboard boxes! So when I saw the Worx Zipsnip I could not believe such a tool existed and I didn’t own it! I mean my spouse is always complaining that I “hack and chop” boxes with abandonment and carelessness with old dull box cutters and it was just a matter of time before I cut myself badly…and they are right! Got the Worx and charges it up. It feels great in the hand and built well. I examined the blade and it has a unique flat hexigonish shape that turns out acts like saw blade teeth but because they are larger it doesn’t feel like a mini saw blade. Which turns out cuts cardboard like butter with minimal effort…It’s amazing how frustration free box cutting has become! It cuts through like a laser into any size you want! Just amazing. Although I wanted it as primarily a box cutter and if that’s the only thing you use it for…HOME RUN! Worth it just for that… But then I got curious. I zipped through paper, Those hard sealed plastic packages, cardstock and even terry cloth!!! No problems!!! It is quite the versatile little tool that should be a staple in any garage or craft room! It also self sharpens and has a three year warranty and the charge is supposed to last for months! Anything a person would snip….the WORX Zip Snip has you covered! You cannot go wrong with this tool! I absolutely love it!

I bought this mainly to break down cardboard and it does the job really well. It cuts through boxes fast and clean without me having to fight them like I normally do with a box cutter. It’s easy to use, feels good in the hand, and honestly makes the job kinda fun. I’ve used it more than I thought I would since getting it. It’s one of those tools you grab without thinking because it just works. For garage cleanup and everyday stuff, I’m glad I picked it up.

This a such a nice cordless cutter. It rips right through those hard plastic cases that so many items come in today. Easily cuts cardboard boxes. Easy to use and charge. Had it not been on sale and highlighted in an email I got from Bestbuy I wouldn’t have given it a second thought, but for the price I thought, why not? I liked it so much I bought another as a white elephant Xmas gift. My brother-in-law got it and absolute loves it. He went and cut up every cardboard box he had for the recycle bin. What a great product!

The whole experience is good and easy for this deive. It makes short work of cardboard almost too easily. The problem is it snagging a bunch on single strip thick cardboard, it does that a lot. That really is my only slight complaint for it, this is still worlds better than using a knofe or scissors, or even a box cutter. The box cutter would be faster but im prone to cutting something on the other side of the card board so this is a much safer alternative that works amazingly well.

WORX - 4V ZipSnip Cordless Electric Scissors are a welcome addition to my toolbox. My main motivation for getting these scissors was to easily cut cardboard down. I think that is why most people order them. But wait, it does do more! I put it to the test when hemming some curtains. It cuts fabric beautifully. I also cut a pair of jeans and it was double thickness since it was the pant leg bottom. On the first leg I went too fast and it buched up a little which made me have back track out of the cut. On the second leg, I went slower and it was perfect. It's so nice not to have the jagged scissor cuts through the fabric. It also cuts through paper like a breeze. I used it when wrapping a gift and had one straight cut. I also tried it on 14 GA. soft copper wire, don't recommend that. It's not a saw so it bounced 3 times on it and got 3/4 the way through. I easily bent the wire and it broke off where I needed. That's a good way to dull it quickly, but I wanted to see it's limits. I wouldn't use regular scissors to cut wire that thick, so applying the same rule to the Worx Cordless Electric Scissors is a good rule of thumb. Overall, I'm very happy with it's performance and convenience.

I purchased this on a Best Buy deal of the day and feel that it is a good value for my purchase price. I purchased this because I am working with cardboard often for an art project. It cuts smoothly and leaves a real clean edge. The blade is supposed to be self sharpening so I hope this lasts for some time for my use. It is definitely safer to use this tool to open some of the other packaging that is out there today. I would recommend this tool for anyone that just needs a safer alternative than using a razor blade to cut anything cardboard, blister packs, or any other hard plastic packaging used in today’s world.

Worx 4V ZipSnip Cordless Electric Scissors - NICE!

Received my scissors and the first thing I did was charge them overnight. The light on the end is red until fully charged then it turns solid green. I mainly wanted these to start cutting up the many boxes I have for recycling so was excited to try them out. When I started cutting I wasn't used to holding them properly and it seemed awkward to try and keep the orange side button depressed plus holding in the bottom switch and cut at the same time. Without the button pressed the blade won't spin. I know this is a safety feature and needed but it still seemed difficult for me. But after awhile I finally got the hang of how to hold them which made it a lot easier. I am right handed but not sure how these would work with a left handed person due to the guard placement. My husband tried them with his left hand and couldn't get them to work right. Just something to keep in mind or perhaps he was just holding them wrong. While I was cutting the boxes I found some of the thicker ones I really had to push hard to make the blade cut through. It did seem easier when I cut along the cardboard lines lengthwise instead of trying to go crossways. However it didn't make much difference at all on thin cardboard. Just breezed along. One thing to note these scissors do not cut through tape well so I avoided that by removing tape and flattening the boxes before starting to cut them. Once in awhile the scissors do seem to jam up and I'd have to tug it off the area and start over. You basically have to be cautious where you cut, how you hold them and the thickness of the cardboard. It will NOT cut cardboard that's too thick to fit inside the guard. The instructions tell you about this. The battery charger is rather erratic. It seems to work most of the time when I plug it in but then once in awhile I have to wiggle it around before the red charging light comes on. As long as it keeps charging I don't find that an issue. They don't hold a charge all that long though so be prepared to plug them in once you are done unless you only cut up one or two items. I ordered extra blades as I found teeny nicks already starting on the original blade after cutting about 8 boxes. So as far as the self sharpening not quite sure about that but I still feel the scissors are worth the added expense for their ease of use. I paid $20 for 6 blades. I then opened up a blister pack and WOW they cut through it perfectly! Finally! No trying to cut that hard plastic open with regular scissors and hurting your fingers in the process. I always dreaded buying ANYTHING in a blister pack but now no more worries! The ZipSnip's get an A+++++ for that feature! I didn't try cutting any other items such as material, paper or things like that but am sure they should work fine because those items are mostly thin. I really like these electric/battery scissors. If you use them properly with care they will do their job and nicely too. Since mine are working as they should right now, I can definitely recommend them.

I thought I would get this for my neighbor with arthritis. I saw how easy, and fast, it was to cut boxes that I just had to get it for my household. TV boxes are probably the max it can handle, being slow and tedious but still took half the effot and time than it was before charging this up for use. As for normal everyday boxes it is so fast that it is faster than tearing it up in your own hands. The safety button is minimal difficuly for artritic neighbor.

I have used this tool, going onto 2 years, and love it. I have a small business and receive many boxes with supplies and many of those boxes are thick. Sometimes I just can’t a good grip to rip them for recycling for reasons of the box being slippery and/or arthritis reasons. I can zip through the boxes with ease with this handy tool and the charge lasts a long time. I’ve charged it at least once a year.

Have you ever never knew you needed something...until you got it? This Zip Snip is it for me. I didn't really expect that it would work. I got it to cut my peel and stick backsplash that's made of a thin sheet of metal along with a foam back and a thin piece of clear plastic on the top all toll aprx. 1/4" thick. To my great surprise it actually cut it like a warm knife through butter! The manufacturer suggestion was tin snips and a jig saw, I have another suggestion for them. LOL The tool came shipped in completely biodegradable corrugated packaging. Straight out the box it was ready for usage, however I plugged it in using the included charger to get a full charge. To operate, depress the lock switch and power at the same time and I was in business. The blade is replaceable by unscrewing the nut holding the blade in, I'm guessing they can be found thru the Worx website or maybe one of the big box stores. This tool will find so many uses in my household, like cutting up boxes and hemming my always to long jeans. For now it'll be kitchen work.

my wife hobby is to cut and saw fabric material to make little shirts or pants to her grand kid, and since I gave her this little Rotary Cutter for Christmas, she keeps thanking me always for this gift.
