The cutter has enough power to go through thick material and it is a safer alternative to box cutters. Also good for those with dexterity issues or parents who would like to delegate box breaking down responsibilities without risking a trip to the ER.

The Worx ZipSnip is like a heavy duty pair of snips or sheers. It’s not like a rotary saw that depends on sheer speed, it’s more like a decent torque cutter that uses similar contact and torque that cuts clean and effortlessly through heavier duty materials similar to a pair of snips or even can opener. Some examples of uses: - Cutting up carpet or thicker fabric with some kind of backing material. The Zip Snip Worx right through it with minimal hand strain. - Cutting thicker hobby or backer board. You can even line it up with a straight edge to get a straight cut across. - Cutting through thin metal, like flashing. Yep just work slowly and as mentioned the Zip Snip will cut through like a pair of snips would. - Vinyl or plastic? No problem at all. I was even able to cut vinyl siding quickly, cleanly and easily without any splitting or problems maintaining a clean edge. Definitely keep out of reach of small children and always wear gloves and safety glasses when using these tools or any power tools in general. But so far this Zip Snip worx great!!!

These scissors are easy to use and very light weight. They cut well and are rechargeable. These scissors are good for small projects.

So much more uses than I thought it makes quick cutting of boxes, cartons paper and such. Additional bonus use cuts through those pesky heavy plastic packaging so many items are enclosed in these days.also has many built in safety features .

I am glad I got this as I saw ads on Facebook and other places. Great product. One drawback that I felt that it was hard to cut through thicker cardboard. Overall, this is a time saver. Safer over utility knives, I do have to try it again on another cardboard to see if i can cut through 2 boards at once.

Finally, a tool that cuts thru those electronic plastic packages. So far it has worked great and I am looking forward to using it many times over for cutting various items. I also like the fact that it has a rechargeable battery and bought at a price 50% lower than other retailers. Worx also makes many quality tools. If you need it, buy it.

Overall we are happy with Worx ZipSnip and use it mostly on crafting projects and opening/cutting down packages. It can cut through clam shell plastic packaging, thin cardboard and thick paper without leaving any sign of tearing or rough edges. The maximum depth of the cutting material is 1/4 inch. It can also be used to cut through fabric but because the fabric isn’t taught its harder to get an exact cut. Cutting through corrugated cardboard is more difficult and takes more pressure to advance the cutter. Also the blade guard stops you about an inch from the bottom of a box due to its design. Whatever you are cutting needs to have an open area on both sides as well as in front of the blade guard. To start the cutting you have to press a safety lock and then press the power switch. Once it starts you can let go of the safety lock as long as you keep pressing the power switch. Using the safety switch with the start switch took some time to get used to because of the design of the grip handle. The blade is not round but rather has 10 multi-faceted edges and it rides on a sharping stone as its used. This keeps the blade sharp but increases the size and complexity of the blade guard. On a plus side the blade is held on with a single screw and is easy to replace when worn. This cutter doesn’t come with any type of case or bag for storage.

Super easy to cut through foam board and cardboard. Easy to charge & use. Great device for the home crafter, box cutter-upper person, sign maker in your household. So much safer than a box cutter for most projects.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for myself, my mom, and a friend. (We’re at those ages where practical gifts make more sense.) It had such great reviews, and I was excited to get it, since we have a lot of things shipped to our house and I have a lot of cardboard to cut up there’s nothing wrong with the product itself – it cuts perfectly through cardboard, but I haven’t tried it with other products yet. (Of note, you can even cut circular shapes with it, which is kind of cool if you’re creating things.) the only issue that I’ve found, which really isn’t with the product itself, is that it is not good for smaller hands, as it is somewhat challenging to grip and be able to press the button on the side. In addition, anyone with arthritis or tendinitis might not be able to use it as well either, given the thickness of it and the way you have to grip it and press the side button at the same time. It’s also not particularly lightweight, which can make it challenging for those same categories of people. The product itself is great, and safer for anyone who wants to cut through tough things (including that awful heavy-duty “clamshell” packaging!) safely!

Love this product, I dislike non broken down boxes, and it slices through them like cheese. Battery lasts a good while and when fully charged cuts even better.

What a deal. I use it to cut up boxes so much. I never thought i use it so much. Great product would definitely recommend for anybody that is looking for s gadget the cuts well. The charge last a while.

These worked absolutely great over the holidays with wrapping paper. I haven't used for much else yet. But it cut with ease felt very sturdy and well made and long lasting battery

The cordless scissors work great for breaking down packaging materials prior to recycling or disposal. Due to arthritis, I find these cordless scissors easier to use than a box cutter.

First time using electric cutter. So far works great. Used opening those difficult plastic and cardboard containers for electric devices. Easy to use once you get used to holding the safely button while operating it. Overall very pleased with my purchase.

Definitely makes cutting up boxes much easier, and it makes cutting those impossible blasting blister packs much safer. You do have to push it through the cardboard when cutting it, but way better than a knife.

I cannot stress how much faster and easier it is for me to cut down cardboard boxes. It used to take me a good while to break them down with a regular box cutter and I would get tired pretty quick. This tool cuts right on through like it’s practically nothing. I wish I knew much earlier that something like this even existed. Could have saved me a lot of time and soreness.

A very nice tool! Helpful for ripping through cardboard for recycling, which is what we use it for. The charge lasts for a long time.

The machine itself is easy to operate. It does a fabulous job of cutting cardboard cloth easy to recharge easy to put away really recommend this product. Oh also is very adorable strong and it feels good in your hand.
