When I first saw this product advertised on the Best Buy site, I couldn't help but remember the children's scissors which plugged in, had very dull round blades and vibrated to cut paper. I believe they were called "snippy" something. Obviously, these are not dull and not rounded, but are designed to give the user a safe method cutting many different materials (in my case - cardboard boxes) without having to pull out a sharp knife and having possible injury and at the least, dulling my knife. I find the 4V ZipSnip work just as predicted and cut through tough cardboard like butter. There is no slippage on the cardboard, I believe, because the knife is not round, but increments of flat edges. The unit seems to hold a great charge for a lengthy period of time without a reduction in power. I have cut up many boxes or varying thickness and am very happy with my purchase!

The cordless scissors work great for breaking down packaging materials prior to recycling or disposal. Due to arthritis, I find these cordless scissors easier to use than a box cutter.

I noticed an older neighbor (about to turn 80) was having some hand pain, and using scissors has become even more painful. So to help preserve her dignity and to alleviate further pain, I got this for her. She told me about a week later how appreciative she is and that she uses it almost daily! I find that when an elderly friend or family member experiences pain in even the simplest task, it can be embarrassing and depressing, so a tool like this is a great way to brighten someone's day! When I gave it to her, I didn't mention that I had observed her having difficulty, but rather I showed her how easy it is to use and the safety features, as well as that the battery charge should last at least a few weeks or even a month. Thank you to Best Buy for having affordable tools like this that can make a small difference in a neighbor's life!

These worked absolutely great over the holidays with wrapping paper. I haven't used for much else yet. But it cut with ease felt very sturdy and well made and long lasting battery

Love this product, I dislike non broken down boxes, and it slices through them like cheese. Battery lasts a good while and when fully charged cuts even better.

Definitely makes cutting up boxes much easier, and it makes cutting those impossible blasting blister packs much safer. You do have to push it through the cardboard when cutting it, but way better than a knife.

Makes life much easier to destroy any boxes the battery life is amazing. I dont remember the last time I charged it.

The WORX ZipSnip has been a great addition to my toolbox. It's lightweight, comfortable to hold, and makes cutting through cardboard, plastic packaging, fabric, and other materials quick and effortless. The rechargeable battery lasts longer than I expected, and the self-sharpening blade keeps the cuts clean and consistent. I especially appreciate the built-in safety feature that prevents the blade from operating unless it's being used properly. It's much easier on my hands than using regular scissors for larger projects. Overall, this is a well-built tool that saves time and effort. I would definitely recommend it.

I like having this to open blister packs. It is safer than a knife and easier than scissors . It is useful for cutting cardboard.

Was a bit skeptical that it would have enough power to cut corrugated cardboard, but it can easily cut parallel to the ridges, and with a little bit effort, perpendicular to the ridges . Thicker cardboard (>5mm) is a bit challenging. 4 stars because it uses a proprietary 4V charging brick. Inside is just a standard 18650 battery so they could easily have used a standard USB charging circuit.

I originally got these as my wife has gotten into gardening and has been cutting by hand, so the hope was that she could save some strength with this. It turns out that it does help, with little plants but not big ones. We have also used it to cut some paper and cardboard, which is works well on too. Getting these working is pretty simple, just charge them and you’re ready to go. While I overall think this is a good too, there are some flaws. Two things that are my own pet peeves, First, this come with a plug that isn’t standard. It would be much nicer if these could charge with a USB-C cable, as I tend to lose these one off cables. Second there is way too much packaging in the box, and its not even to make the open experience look nice. The other issue I had was that you need to have a flat surface all around to use these. Regular scissors you’re able to cut even if around what you are cutting is uneven. For example I tried to cut between two bags or frozen chicken, and since the part to cut was between two raised areas, I had to pull out regular scissors. So unfortunately, it means that these cannot be used in every situation. Overall I think these are nice in certain use cases, but unless you’re cutting a lot of flat surfaces or smaller twigs in your garden, these may not be worth it.

These cut boxes really well. Makes recycling easier. Had to buy again since I plugged in an incorrect charger into the original one and it got messed up and wouldn't hold a charge.

I should have purchased one of these cutter a long time ago. The Worx cutter is great I use to cut all the boxes I had for recycle with a knife. I can break down a box with the Worx cutter in half the time and it is so much safer

In an era of home shopping, I receive packages weekly if not every several days. These packages consist of boxes within boxes leading to large amounts of cardboard filling the space of the garbage can. I honestly bought this product (like the other Worx brand products) because it was half off the original price. Worx products are those things you don't necessarily need..but it's good to have. I love this product because it makes cutting down boxes super easy! I've used regular scissors, heavy duty scissors, box cutters, and every other tool I have to make breaking down boxes easier but this product does it the best. I solely use this to break down boxes and it is 100% worth it.

Quick. Safer than a razorblade or normal scissors. Cuts cardboard with ease. Good for plastic cards and trash mail.

I wrap the presents every year. This cordless electric scissor is a no brainer. They are easy to handle and very sharp.

I cannot stress how much faster and easier it is for me to cut down cardboard boxes. It used to take me a good while to break them down with a regular box cutter and I would get tired pretty quick. This tool cuts right on through like it’s practically nothing. I wish I knew much earlier that something like this even existed. Could have saved me a lot of time and soreness.

I've had this for a while now. Yes, it takes a while to fully charge. I'm not sure how long the charge last because I haven't had to charge it since. I know it's months. It has cut everything I tried to cut, mostly items shipped in plastic bubble bags. I did use it on some boxes to see how well it would cut them(cut the boxes effortlessly). My main reason for purchasing this was because I'm old and a south paw. Scissors aren't generally made for folks like myself.

A very nice tool! Helpful for ripping through cardboard for recycling, which is what we use it for. The charge lasts for a long time.
