This Blu-ray is a worthy purchase for anyone. It's honest, light-hearted humor will appeal to kids, adults and give winking nods to gamers throughout the entire film. The tale centers around Wreck-It Ralph, an oversized 80's video game villain from the Donkey Kong-like game "Fix-It Felix Jr." In the modernized arcade where the cabinet containing the Fix-It Felix game exists, things happen when the lights go out. Characters from the arcade's game convene in a central area accessed through the power cords that connect them to the wall outlets. Cameos from quite a large group of video games appear, such as Sonic the Hedgehog, Super Mario Bros., Pac-Man and many more. The main character, Ralph doesn't enjoy being the bad guy, and leaves his game one day to find a place which treats him like the good guy he wants to be. He eventually enters other games, looking for this place and meets a cast of characters that are funny and charming. Voicing these characters are Sarah Silverman, John C. Reilly and Jane Lynch among others. Being a Disney computer animated movie, as expected the visual fidelity is astounding. There is no point in this movie that isn't a marvel to look at. Colors are vivid and expertly saturated, and the animation is fluid and wonderfully represents the video game world that it pulls you into. In a nod to "old-school" gaming, there are a few funny moments involving these well-rendered characters performing their in-game animations from their old games that they live in, limited-frames and all. There are no visual artifacts or washing out of colors throughout the whole film, with a smooth frame rate and great scene framing. This movie will show off your home theater brilliantly. The sound quality is nothing short of amazing. All voices are clear and show off the slick acting and subtle moments that shine through during the story. The surround mix is discrete and remarkable. During the moments where an old arcade game is being played, the sound is cleverly mixed depending in the location of the viewer, be it watching from the player's side or from within the game from Ralph's perspective. A wonderful sense of space becomes evident throughout the entire film. There are several vast settings that use different techniques to achieve this. There is a modern "Call of Duty" setting that Ralph makes his way into that shows off a full-scale sci-fi army setting, complete with explosions and a bug-like swarm of enemies, and you'll hear them before you see them. Overall the film is not scary for children and yet has a universal appeal to kids and adults alike. So many nods are to gamers here, that for a moment you might get your gamer kid to sit down and watch this movie with the whole family, which as a gamer myself, is truly a feat in and of itself!

Wreck-it-Ralph is a great movie for gamers and familys of any age. Even if your not a hardcore gamer and dont get the gaming references. This movie is well worth the time and money. You will fall in love with the characters and the overall voice acting. The plot tells of a tired badguy named Ralph and his quest to become the hero he always wanted to be. If you havnt seen this movie this is a must buy. If you have seen it then then what are you waiting for buy it!!

Pretty good movie, a lot of fun for everyone. And the Steelbook is nice too.

I remember seeing this movie in theaters and really enjoyed it! I was also amazed that it isn't a Pixar film, just a Disney film. It has a lot of Pixar-like elements to it, starting with a great story at its heart. The whole video game world is imaginative, unique, and beautifully done in each game environment. There are several nice "easter eggs" for gamers all throughout this great film. Like most Pixar/Disney films, this movie is great for kids and adults alike. I really hope they make a sequel to this movie in the future, would love to see the next adventure of Ralph and Vanellope in the old arcade.

I am telling you this is one of the coolest movie ever. My three boys absolutely live the movie. I highly recommend getting this and if you were a gamer in the 80 & 90's you are really going to like what they have done. Sugar Rush.....Sugar Rush. (for those who have seen it).

The cast here couldn't fit the characters better. John C. Reilly as the big guy Wreck-it Ralph, Sarah Silverman as the spirited and surprisingly funny Vanellope von Schweetz, Jane Lynch as the stoic and hilarious Sergeant Calhoun, and Jack McBrayer as the lovable and yet again laugh- out-loud Fix-it Felix Junior. The movie is absolutely hilarious; the performances from all of the actors fit their roles perfectly and couldn't be funnier. They couldn't have picked a better voice cast, honestly to goodness.

This is honestly one of the best animated films I've seen in a long time. It's the kind of story that anyone can/will/should enjoy. The voice acting is spot on. The story itself is great, filled with suspense and drama. The only down side is that it's not longer. It would rock if it was a 4 hour filmstravaganza! But alas, movies aren't there yet. The 3D is also amazing on my awesome Samsung TV.

Almost everyone growing up in the 80s and 90s will fall in love with this movie. It is so much fun to see characters that you've grown up with, with all of these different personalities! It's a great mix of nostalgia and newness and Penelope is absolutely adorable. The banter is witty and there's a great positive message behind the whole movie. Younger kids might actually not love it as much as adults would because the characters are less familiar to them. But no complaints on this end!

This movie is great for all ages! Kids will enjoy it, teens/young adults will understand all of gaming/disney references and even adults/seniors will love to see the old school cameos like Pong. The story is heartfelt and perfectly executed. Lots of DVD extras with a few easter eggs in the movie. (pause the movie, you'll see.) Just overall a great family experience.

A great movie for the whole family that stars a videogame character named Ralph who is stuck being a villian. One Day Ralph decides that he doesn't want to be the bad guy anymore and leaves his game to try to become a good guy in another game, causing havoc in the videogame universe. The cast all does great voice work here and if you are a fan of the older videogames like Pac-Man and the first Donkey Kong then you are in for a treat when you watch this movie.

A wacky fun filled adventure through the virtual world's of different arcade games brings one of the greatest movies of all time to life. This movie will not only keep your children entertained for months, but it will also through out some jokes aimed at an older audience familiar with classic video games as well. Truly a masterpiece and one of my favorite movies of all time.

This movie was much different than I anticipated, but in a great way! I got to see some things that reminded me of my childhood and enjoyed the storyline. My favorite Disney film of all time is The Lion King, but this is definitely in the top three. The humor is perfect for adults, but not over the top, making it family friendly for all ages! One of the best animated films since Wall-E!

This is such a cute movie. I am a huge video game fan so I’m probably biased but I think it’s my favorite Pixar film. It’s great. Like most Pixar films it is funny for both kids and adults (in different ways). The blu-ray plays perfectly and the packaging is very nice. The movie has a great message and is a great movie to watch over and over again. Definitely recommended!

The best new Disney movie in many years. After riding Pixar's coat-tails for many years, this is the first Great non sequel that Disney has put out in at least a decade. A very cool take on the Video Game concept that almost has a feel of the original Toy Story. Outstanding audio and video on this Bluray as has become expected from any Disney release, Highly recommended.

Wreck It Ralph was a fantstic movie that appealed to my two kids as well as to myself. It has plenty of funny gags about very early video games as well as cool characters from very modern games. It was funny, heart-warming, & had a good twist toward the end. I believe it should've won the Oscar for Best Animated Feature Film for 2012 (but Brave beat it out).

Really solid Disney animated effort here... has a great message about accepting others AND being the best you can be rather than settling for what others think of you. Strong voice cast really brings the characters to life, and lots of classic video game characters populate the story so the old-timers can pick out things they remember from their youth too!

This is by far the best Disney movie to date. I find it hilarious and I'm a grown adult. My kids absolutely love this movie and watch it over and over again. My boy runs around with a hammer and says, "I'm gonna fix it!" while my daughter runs around and yells, "I'm gonna wreck it!". I would definitely recommend this movie to everyone (and I have)!!

Wreck-It Ralph is a must-see movie for any kids and any parents who grew up playing video games. It features a lot of video game cameos of characters that probably most kids won't recognize (but their parents probably will). But even without knowing the cameos, kids will enjoy the movie for its plot and action and great characters anyway!

Finally, Disney Studios releases an animated film on par (and in some ways surpassing) their family members Pixar. Wreck It Ralph is a joy from start to finish. The only down sides are a weak number of features for a "super duper" edition. Also, this movie has the trademark Disney/Pixar weak 3D with absolutely no pop-out which is frustrating.

Taught me to never give up on my dreams. I almost cried several times. Next best to Toy Story series!!!!
