It's a basic phone case, but the raised edge around the screen prevents the screen from falling flat on the ground, though it won't protect against the phone falling screen down on small rocks/gravel. Bought it when I ordered my new phone, and it's been on my phone ever since, except for a few minutes here and there when I took the case off to get dust or water off my phone. I've dropped my phone a few times, both inside on a hardwood floor and outside on concrete/asphalt. It is somewhat slippery, though not enough for it to lose a star, in my opinion. It's the sort of satin finish often on plastic products. It would be nice if there was grippy texture on it, but the raised edge around the back of the phone, logo, and raised edge around the camera are helpful for adding a little bit of grip when pulling it out of a pocket or bag.

Seriously Amazing phone cover, I actually dropped my phone a few days after putting it on, it hit the corner and flipped... Phone was perfectly fine, No damage.!!! My last phone had an off brand cover, went through a similar drop, and the corner of the "Gorilla Glass" was cracked... This truly the last phone cover you will ever need.!!!

I love my Speck phone case. This phone case is sturdy. A little slippery. But all and all a great phone case.

It fits the phone well and protects it from dropping. I dropped my phone from the cab of the truck to the ground which was a good 10 ft it survived.

If you need the basic case, this is what you want. Because the store has nothing else! Very good while you're you're waiting for a more stylized case. Smells rubbery consistently though.

The protective cover is nice and looks like it will protect the phone. The only thing I don't like about the cover is the feel. It feels slick. I would prefer a cover that has some level of grip.
