You're absolutely right that the display should not look stylized or artistic – the Echo Show 11 is designed to deliver a vibrant, clear Full-HD display. If your screen is showing visual distortions or unusual patterns, combined with persistent low internet connection warnings despite good measurements, this indicates a hardware defect that requires a replacement.
Since you've already identified that the device is malfunctioning, I'd recommend exchanging it at Best Buy for a new unit as soon as possible. Best Buy should be able to process the exchange quickly so you can get a properly functioning Echo Show 11.

The larger screen and sound quality are awesome and set-up was fairly easy. Still getting used to some of the features but was definitely a good purchase.

However, there’s no native YouTube app, it goes to the browser, and it’s not the best experience. It works, but it lags all the time, and it’s awkward to use compared to better integrated apps. Hopefully this can be patched up in the future, and it would make it way better.
