Some comic book fans might not be satisfied with the accuracy of the characters in this one, but cant make everyone happy and be relatively close to realistic instead of cartoonish. The action and effects were good as usual. The plot was good and most of the characters were close to their comic book selves.

I'm a fan of all the X-Men movies and this one is no exception. Special effects, quality of the video, characters are all excellent. I gave it a 4 star rating instead of a 5 because I sometimes tire of the way over the top destruction. I know every one of the movies has that element and I guess each movie has to one-up the previous one. I wouldn't mind if they'd dial it down some.

So the Xmen films, although starting the super hero movie craze....sorry blade....im talking the PG-13 and under phase. These movies, while fun and entertaining have not really evolved. X2 was an amazing movie and everything just sort of stayed the same since them. They dont bring anything to the table and they keep stepping on their own timeline making it more and more confusing.

Good but not as good as Days of Future Past

Another good X Men film. There's (almost) no Hugh Jackman here, but the movie is still good. Fassbender is excellent in some of his scenes with his family. Mcavoy is great again too and I'm really liking this newer group of X Men. I would say this is also Jnnifer Lawrence's steongest performance as Mystique. Good movie. Not quite as good as Days of Future Past however.

The movie as a whole is decent. It's good. But , if your someone who has grown up on these comics. Well, then you'll see my issues. It's not that it done badly, just, different . It like they were rushing to get this out of the way type movie. So the slapped a few origin stories together and said "here you go.". But still say give it a shot and see what you think.

Have all X Men movies except Logan... Yet! But this is pretty good. Like how they show you some of the origins of a few characters form the original. The hard idea off losing your family and hating the world its a little difficult to stay positive. A little love from someone that is not related to you is a good message and true. Good reminder to never give up.

The movie picks up after Days of Future Past with younger versions of Professor X, Magneto, and team. If you haven't watched any of the previous movies you might be a little lost with the number of characters that are introduced with little to no background. The movie is a fun and enjoyable super hero flick. It's not the best, but worth seeing more than once.

I wasn't completely blown away and expected much more from Apocalypse, but I was as disappointed as I thought I'd be (not that I'm still not disappointed). The storyline was great with still a few discrepencies, but if you can overlook it and simply enjoy it, I thought it was a much better end to an X-Men trilogy than the X-Men: Last Stand from the original.

    Ridiculous and Silly Fun

As the third of this prequel X-Men trilogy, Apocalypse features the titular villain and Professor X's crew of mutants fighting in the 80s to save the world once more. It's good mutant action with some new and returning favorites like Nightcrawler, Jubilee, Cyclops, and others that probably makes no sense in the end, but it's still a good time for X-Men fans.

It seems every new X-Men movie contradicts the last. Although at times confusing, fans continue to gobble up the stories begging for more. So does this film work? I think so. Just don’t get caught up in the film being so far removed from the original story. So keep your hands and arms inside the illusion at all times and have a blast!

Just what I wanted in a Superhero movie

The "Geek Age" is creating ridiculous expectations for Superhero movies - fans expect Oscar material from what are essentially just action movies based on adolescent fiction. I've seen this movie rated down on numerous "geek" websites, but If you're like me and you think a Superhero movie should just be smash bang fun, then you will enjoy X-Men Apocalypse.

Fairly solid entry into the X-verse if films. While it was a great intro to the classic core of characters (Storm, Jean, Cyclops) the film still misused Fassbender's Magneto and McAvoy's Xavier and over-used JLaw's Mystique (given her lackluster performance, she may even agree). Still better than The Last Stand and a decent film all around.

The previous movie - Days of Future Past was much more fulfilling than this part. However, this one captures the imagination of the great villain Apocalypse. While the plot was fast-tracked some in my view, it hit all the points it needed. The movie accomplishes its target by giving great visuals and impending danger. Its a great finish to this cast.

This movie was alright. If you like the other X-Men movies then you won't be disappointed. There are some great scenes (maybe one of the best in the series), but it is not 'Days of Futures Past.' I was hoping for more from this title. Apocalypse is one of my favorite villains, but the movie left me wanting more from the character.

Actually, as the Bluray back cover says: "Massively Entertaining", it is. Great movie. Spectacular CGI effects. Great sound. Watched this movie (Bluray 1080p version) via an Xbox Slim connected to a 4K TV. Picture quality was very, very good. Need to watch this movie over again just to absorb the special effects. 144 minutes long, rated PG-13. Included with the Bluray are Special Features, deleted scenes, and Olivia Munn is in the movie too......

So basically this movie sets off as the beginning of the X-Men story it's not bad but if your a comic book reader like iam the comic books and the movie are completely different overall it was a good movie I gave it for stars cause I wanted to see more of wolverine instead of a short cameo but it's worth checking out if your a Marvel fan enjoy.
