Although I believe that it suffered from a poor movie theater outing,especially with the other bunch of blockbuster movies it was competing against at its debut. This is a fun and exciting x men movie. This also explains much of the where and why the main familiar characters come from. While still introducing new characters as well. I highly enjoyed the movie.and it has a fantastic sound effects tract.

Two thumbs up on this installment of Stan Lees X-men movie Apocalypse. Which features the coming of Apocalypse who comes into contact with an early eighties version of the X-Men. Everything about the movie is great as long as you like comic book action a good story and great special effects. Favorite scenes in the movie is all of Quicksilvers.Fun for the entire family ages 12 and up.Hope you enjoy!

Fox attempts to hit the 'reset' button from what they've done with the franchise and seems to do so in good fashion. While the script holds true to the premise of the comic storyline, there are definitely differences between the two. Fun entertainment for both fans of the comics and fans of the movies franchise

I missed this one in the theater but I am glad I bought it. I am a significant X-Mean fan and this movie did not disappoint. I didn't watch too many previews so I didn't have a lot of expectations and I was surprised. I do not want to put any spoilers out so just get the movie and see for yourself!

Hello, This is not the best in the series of X-men movies and it's hard to compare it to the other movies because X-men Days of Future Past served as a reset in the universe to where the events in the first three movies did not occur. Need Doc Brown to explain the space/time continuum on this one!!!

This movie gets hit a lot in reviews, but if you treat it like the popcorn movie that it really is, you should have a good time. Good effects, decent, although typical superhero plot, and decent acting. By no means is it among the greatest superhero movies, but is definitely much better than some.

I was pleasantly surprised by this film. I had heard bad reviews on the movie, but seeing as I am a borderline nerd, I gave it a shot. While it certainly isn't the best movie of the year, I did find it quite a fun movie to watch. I would recommend it to anyone just wanting to have fun watching a movie

Well, maybe not the beginning - while this is a stretch to the origins of X-Men, it make some sense as to where many of those super powers came from. I'm a sucker for these Super Hero characters, so you won't be disappointed with this one. Now I know how "Captain Picard" lost his hair. If you are a fan of X-Men, and Star Trek, The Next Generation, you'll get my reference. Enjoy...

While not my favorite movie in the X-men cannon to date, it's well made and highly entertaining. It's also crucial to moving the series forward and setting the stage for the next level, beginning to better integrate this series into the Marvel Universe. Must have addition for Marvel and X-men fans.

Full disclosure, I loved the original X-Men trilogy. I thought the Wolverine spinoffs were okay. I think the "new" trilogy is SO good. If you liked First Class and Days of Future Past, this will be to your linking. It wasn't quite as good as Days of Future Past (which I think the best of the new series) but better than First Class. That being said, still a VERY good movie. IMO.

Probably the weakest in the prequel trilogies but still a fun X-Men film. The packaging however stands out. The slipcover is great like always but the surprise came when I saw the case. It was a matte gray case with the X-Men logo at the top instead of the blu-ray logo! It was a pleasant surprise!

Knowing the history of the character "Apocalypse " I was somewhat disappointed in how he was portrayed in the film. I expected a more menacing individual , he came across as being very soft and easy to be taken down . I guess i expected to have this story line carried over into additional movies.

Great movie. A little confusing as to how it fits into the X-Men saga. The whole X-Men saga has gotten very confusing. Which movies follows which? Great stand alone movie anyway! Must have it in 3D!! Thank You Best Buy for stocking it!! Remember, buy Blu-Ray's, don't stream --- Don't trust your favorite movies to someone elses server - it may not be there when you want it!!

Since I own a nice collection of X-men movies, it was a no-brainer to purchase this one. I simply loved the movie, acting, action and animation. Cinematography was superb and the movie kept me interested throughout! Great addition to my movie collection. I believe everyone will enjoy watching it.

It's a decent x-men flick, they could made Apocalypse a bit more menacing but overall it wasn't that bad. I did enjoy it. If you liked the previews X-men movies, that is Future past and the other ones you will probably like this one too as well. I got it on sale so $9 is worth it.

Really - if you like the movie enough in the theater you need it on blu-ray to watch at home for the same experience (assuming you've got a big TV and good sound). That's with the added bonus of considerably cheaper snacks and being able to wear footie pajamas without getting looked at oddly.

I saw this movie at the theater and was pleasantly surprised. I was afraid there were too many characters in this one for them to sufficiently develop the characters. That was not the case. This movie continues to develop the long-standing history of the mutant uprising and it's impact on humanity. I thought they did a great job with this movie and the effects were fantastic.

While I simply can't bring myself to give this movie 5 stars since it didn't measure up to the last few X-Men movies, it was solid and entertaining in it's own light. I'm quite surprised at other 5 star reviews since the quality of the plot just wasn't there for this compared to past movies.

Good X-men movie but look at what came before......

Not sure in these cases to review the movie or the product itself. So both? The movie was good. I liked it better than Days Of Future Past. The team is slowly coming along. The product itself comes with loads of special features and the quality is what you'd expect from a blu-ray diac.
