Movie was okay. Dissapointed with the conclusion. Not the best X Men movie.

Apocalypse is the first mutant in history. After being in a coma like sleep for a thousand years, he is awoken. Disappointed with the state of the world during his disappearance, he forms a powerful team of mutants and decides to shape the world more to his liking. Unfortunately, in order for him to accomplish this, he must fight the X-men.

These movies are ok, but the continuity is off. Varies from movie to movie

I read the reviews, and the new X-Men movies have not really met the expectations of a lot of fans. I thought this was a good movie. I am, however, kind of tired of Wolverine. What else can he do? I am a fan of this film otherwise. You can't really go wrong with this pack of powerful mutants. Another great Steelbook added to the collection.

It is starting to get a bit crowded in Marvel-Verse. I'm afraid that the next shoe to drop is going to be a mash-up between Marvel and Star Wars. Star Trek has primed all of us for alternate time lines and universes (unversi?), so lets don't make everything mash-potato-plots. We'll see them as separate. The Mouse will still make his money.

Does this movie mean they can now go even further back and go into mutants from ancient Egypt and other eras?? I don't know how I feel about that.. maybe some more individual stories... maybe take up after Gene disintegrated Xavier? Hmm... long story of Eric's life. Good movie, gets a bit busy in spots with all the CGI moving stuff around.

The movie is good but not great. Too much going on, it's not focused enough. The main villain was too powerful and made the movie's battles seem ridiculous. Overall, it was entertaining enough to watch but it was the worst of the latest trilogy. It is a definite watch if you are an X-men fan and enjoyed all the other movies in the series.

I have all the X-Men movies and I had high hopes that X-Men Apocalypse would have been a great movie. Apocalypse is a great villain in all the X-Men comics and cartoons. This version really didn't do him just use on how evil he can actually be. So if you love or just like the X-Men series it's a good piece to have in your collection.

It wasn't the best in the series, However it was full of action and it gave a bit of history to storm which was needed because we have seen her so many times and she has been a mystery, I think this movie did a good job of showcasing a few people we have seen before but maybe not know the depth of their powers.

James McAvoy is great as a young Charles Xavier. To see Xavier in action against Apocalypse, was the highlight of the movie. Great character study of the mutants to go along with all the action. Hugh Jackman's appearance is the tie that binds the old series to the new. Pretty faithful adaptation from the comics. Get it, it's worth it!

I appreciate that he could remember another of those old Marvel plot-lines without too much subevrsion. Over 50 years of comic book plots should have made for better variety than all the franchise re-boots the Marvel Producers have taken. Good pace, good action. Will they be able to afford Jennifer Lawrence for another round?

I am a harsh critic. Although none of the X Men movies (or any comic book adaptations for that matter,) follow the book standards to a "T". THis movie still delivered a lot of heart. Something that I havent really seen since at least the last X Men movie. 2 for 2 with this improved story telling. The feel of the X Men team was captured in this movie. PRoud to have in my collection!

Sorry can't go wrong with x-men. I love everyone of these movies released. Filled with action and backstory for the characters without leaving you wondering what the heck. Stay pretty true to the comics in my opinion. They have been doing a great job of telling everyone's story throughout each release. Doesn't ever feel rushed. Also the 4K version looks amazing. Very happy overall.

Well, maybe not the beginning - while this is a stretch to the origins of X-Men, it make some sense as to where many of those super powers came from. I'm a sucker for these Super Hero characters, so you won't be disappointed with this one. Now I know how "Captain Picard" lost his hair. If you are a fan of X-Men, and Star Trek, The Next Generation, you'll get my reference. Enjoy...

Though these moves don't stay true to the comics but set the their own tone. I'm very happy that they changed the look of main protagonists Apocalypse from the trailers to finished product. They still could have done so much more with this story but still a fun watch.

If you're a fan of the xmen series this is a must see. I think we can all agree that the director cut corners and didn't know what the he was doing on days of future past, but this one is definitely better. It shares a history with the xmen of the past and catches things up to the present. Great way for a series to be closed out, and I highly recommend it to all the fans out there!

I've really liked the way they've gone back and done prequels on the X-Men story. The "new" cast is really good. James McAvoy has always been one of the new promising actors and he competently fills the shoes of Patrick Stewart as Professor X. With Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Rose Byrne, and now the added Sophie Turner as Jean Grey, The cast just gets more fun to watch.

Not as good as the previous X-Men movie, but still worth the time.

I'm an X-Men fan and have always liked the Apocalypse story line from the comics and tv shows. I was hoping for more scenes displaying Jean's power as well as the power of other mutants introduced in this film. The plot accelerates at the end so it feels like the fighting scenes are shorter and the end of the movie wraps up fast.
