Ignore the negative reviews for this 9th installment of the X-Men film series because X-Men:Apocalypse is not only filled with the kind of non-stop action and great special effects that you've come to expect, but it also fits together like a piece of the puzzle in the whole series. And the limited edition steel book packaging is terrific.

I was pleasantly surprised by this film. I had heard bad reviews on the movie, but seeing as I am a borderline nerd, I gave it a shot. While it certainly isn't the best movie of the year, I did find it quite a fun movie to watch. I would recommend it to anyone just wanting to have fun watching a movie

I like that the X-Men movies get better as they go on. sometimes movie series get boring and worse as they progress. This one is one of my favorites. The adversary was well played out and wasnt just some random villain who tired to take over the world. The characters always stand for something in these movies and thats what captures my attention.

It was nice in the 4K format, the added detail made it a real nice watching experience. I hadn't seen it in the movies, so didn't know what to expect. I do like the younger characters mixed in with the older characters, and enjoy the overall development of the X-Men world on video.

X-Men Apocalypse may not be the best X-Men movie but it does a good job of competing with the other Marvel movies with plenty of fun action scenes as well as introducing new actors in familiar roles like Nightcrawler and Jean Grey. The blu-ray and 3D presentation makes this a disc worth picking up.

I rather liked the movie in the theaters, but the steelbook purchase makes it even better. I'm a sucker for bonus features and extra blu-ray content like the director's commentary. Bryan Singer shared a lot of things that cleared up questions I had regarding certain character motivations and story.

While not my favorite movie in the X-men cannon to date, it's well made and highly entertaining. It's also crucial to moving the series forward and setting the stage for the next level, beginning to better integrate this series into the Marvel Universe. Must have addition for Marvel and X-men fans.

Probably the weakest in the prequel trilogies but still a fun X-Men film. The packaging however stands out. The slipcover is great like always but the surprise came when I saw the case. It was a matte gray case with the X-Men logo at the top instead of the blu-ray logo! It was a pleasant surprise!

Knowing the history of the character "Apocalypse " I was somewhat disappointed in how he was portrayed in the film. I expected a more menacing individual , he came across as being very soft and easy to be taken down . I guess i expected to have this story line carried over into additional movies.

I've been a big fan of X-Men for over 30 years .... As much as I wanted to like this movie I couldn't bring myself to get over the main villains demeanor and outfit. It was a fun movie and paves the way forward for the rebirth of several x-Men in the franchise .. hopefully it gets better in time.

I love and own all the xmen movies, big fan of marvel comics and films. I enjoyed this film due to the character apocalypse which I haven't seen since the comics, love him/his powers. The tie-in with the Egyptian story in the beginning is also quite nice, always loved the mysterious Egyptian stories, myths. I great film for any marvel fan!

Since I own a nice collection of X-men movies, it was a no-brainer to purchase this one. I simply loved the movie, acting, action and animation. Cinematography was superb and the movie kept me interested throughout! Great addition to my movie collection. I believe everyone will enjoy watching it.

It's a decent x-men flick, they could made Apocalypse a bit more menacing but overall it wasn't that bad. I did enjoy it. If you liked the previews X-men movies, that is Future past and the other ones you will probably like this one too as well. I got it on sale so $9 is worth it.

After reading some reviews following the theatrical release, I wasn't sure how much I'd enjoy this. Also, Days of Future Past was a tough act to follow. But the technical merits of the disc and the action sequences are excellent. I have a lot of hope for the post-Jackman future of the franchise.

Really - if you like the movie enough in the theater you need it on blu-ray to watch at home for the same experience (assuming you've got a big TV and good sound). That's with the added bonus of considerably cheaper snacks and being able to wear footie pajamas without getting looked at oddly.

So this movie got mixed reviews, but honestly, I don't know why. It was great! Great action, acting, story, and emotion. I laughed, I cried (yes, I can admit that), I cheered and I wanted more when it was over. On the downside, the villain was really beige. And we all know how exciting THAT color is, right? Other than that, awesome movie.

Sequel to Bryan Singer's second take at the X-Men franchise. This version takes place during the 1980's and has the ultimate and most powerful mutant, Apocalypse being awakened and recruiting mutants to create a new world run by mutants. In order to save mankind, Professor X and his students have an epic battle showdown with Apocalypse.

Good X-men movie but look at what came before......

While I simply can't bring myself to give this movie 5 stars since it didn't measure up to the last few X-Men movies, it was solid and entertaining in it's own light. I'm quite surprised at other 5 star reviews since the quality of the plot just wasn't there for this compared to past movies.

I won't review the movie itself, but rather what's included here. Included are two discs, plus a digital HD copy (digital copy is NOT in 4K, it's only 1080p). Film transfer looks excellent, 4K version also looks excellent. Just be aware of what you're getting if you want a 4K digital edition.
