All of the c men movies are great. Watched this one several times. Never gets old

Bought this on Black Friday and got a great price for a great movie.

There are many X-Men movies at this point. The original trilogy, the future trilogy (which this movie is the third one), and the terrible, stand alone Wolverine movies. I classified it as the future trilogy because I think that it's the last movie like this. I could be wrong but if there is another one it will be vastly different mostly because Hugh Jackman has said that "Logan" (the Wolverine movie coming out in March) will be the last time he plays Wolverine. I struggle seeing a X-Men film without him and since Wolverine doesn't age I don't think they can cast a new actor. But I could be proven wrong. However, I digress. Apocalypse is probably my third favorite X-Men film. The best being Days of Future Past. By far. But Apocalypse has a good cast. We get to meet young Cyclops and Phoenix, which is cool. The villain is pretty evil and easy to hate and is also powerful enough that it makes you wonder if they can really pull it off. Overall, it's a solid film.

Not as great as the Marvel cinematic universe but still a good movie to have.

A great movie made even better with the use of technology in the form of 4K!

I had a brand new 4K TV and wanted to check out its capabilities so, I figured X-Men Apocalypse would be a good tester. It was. The picture was beautiful as was the sound. I have a Samsung 60" 4K TV and a Samsung soundbar, as well as a Samsung 4K Blu-ray player. The movie itself is pretty good; wish they would have put more into the Dark Angel character; for that matter more character development for several would have been better, although I realize that would've made for a long (probably too long) movie. My next move is to upgrade my sound system for this TV. I think the sound capability of my setup could not adequately handle the possibilities of the disc. It also comes with a regular Blu-ray disc. I would recommend this movie in 4K if you want to get a good grasp of the picture capabilities of your 4K TV.
