in my opinion, extended cuts, director's cuts, and unrated extended cuts are always better than the theatrical release cut, there's material that more often than not helps things make alot more sense. this is prevalent with xmen days of future past, in big, distinct ways. that said, this movie is well worth having.

This is one of the best X-Men movies of the series. It did not stay true to the original Days of Future Past comic storyline, but I did not hold that against the movie. Some fanboys might hate the movie because it wasn't exactly like the original comic script. But if you judge it without comparing it to the comic, it holds up very well on it's own. Well done.

This movie definitely made up for the past underwhelming X-Men films which was Last Stand and Origins: Wolverine. I enjoyed both but they surely paled in comparison to X1 and X2, X2 remaining my favorite since. Actually, X2, First Class and now Days of Future Past rank among my favorites of the X-Men series and comic book movies overall. Must watch and buy!

I fully recommend buying this edition it offers many exclusives found no where else. Packaging is solid and exclusive to Best Buy as well. File cards and art cards really give you a good look at concepts and designs not found/ close to movie styles. Discs are solid as well offering great picture and solid house shaking sound. Fully recommend this to any fan.

It's hard to believe that a movie series that is 7 parts in would still feel like brand new, but that's what this entry accomplished. This feels like the most true in tone and content to the comics and it works as a standalone as well (maybe watch X-Men: First Class to be safe). It's great to see the franchise come together again and I cannot wait for more.

I am building a collection of good 3D movies and all of these qualify. This group includes: Live-Die-Repeat (not really a Tom Cruze fan but a good show), Point Break (not much of a plot but great stunts and cinematography), Mad Max Fury Road (Lots of inane action), Life of Pi (had this in 2D, 3D brings it to life), Exodus Gods-and-Kings (a novel retelling of the biblical classic), X-Men Days of Future Past (a nice addition to this sci-fi franchise).

I have to admit this movie was even better than expected. They took an older X-Men story and fit it into their movie timeline. Now some purists won't be too happy with some changes, but it's still a very good movie. The very end was a pleasant surprise in a lot of ways. Especially to those of us disappointed with X3. The packaging itself is nice enough.

2nd best film in the franchise. A time twisting story that hops around different eras. Fixes all of the mess that was created thanks to The Last Stand. Bishop and Warpath and Sunspot finally appear. The Sentinels are very real threata unlike in the 90s cartoon. I love the storyline. High Jackman's best performance as Wolverine.

The additional scenes with Rogue in it basically changes the overall plot of the movie. When Kitty Pryde gets hurt by Wolverine in the original version, she continues to keep Wolverine in the past. In the Rogue Cut when she gets hurt, Rogue takes her powers and keeps going, which lets Kitty Pryde rest and fix her wounds.

If you have only seen the first version of X-Men Days of Future Past. Well they put a nice twist on this version. Rogue is a great character from the X-Men and one that's not used very much in the movies. Yet in this version she was. It was nice to see her finally use her powers and for all the right reasons. A must have for any X-Men fan.

This was unquestionably THE best action adventure/comic book/popcorn movie of the summer for me. Not only does it tie together the two X-Men franchises but it does so in a unique and fun story. Comic geeks will enjoy this film and its nod to the comic book story, but film fans will also enjoy the trill ride. If you enjoyed "First Class", you'll love this.

This is in my opinion the best X-Men movie yet, Great action, great story, the special affects are great. The cast is excellent, this movie felt like a comic book taken right from the pages to the screen. Very compelling story that everyone should be drawn into. As you can tell I loved it and rank maybe above my favorite X-Men movie of all time X-men 2.

This movie should be a must buy for anyone that enjoys good action movies! This one definitely builds on the great First Class movie and would say is the best of all the X-Men movies! You will definitely get your moneys worth out of this blu ray. The special features were decent and was hoping for a commentary but that's just a very minor inconvenience.

I bought both copies and I wish is the one that was released in theaters. One character difference makes a better more logical story. It ups the actions and also the sadness. If you seen this movie at the theater do yourself a favor and buy this blu ray. YOu can watch the bland version as well but why would you want to do that?

This version of the film is definitely better than the original version. The Rogue scenes were a bit of a letdown, but the other additional scenes, namely the ones between Mystique and Beast, were well done. The extras are good and the picture and sound quality are great. I definitely recommend this version over the original version of the film.

This could have been titled, Wolverine: Days of Future Past. This review will focus specifically on one deficiency in the special features. In the trailer, it intimated on a third time stream where the sentinels went after Rogue for her powers. This was much discussed, and in the ether of the internet, the answer was it was cut for time and pacing, and would be in the BluRay release on the special features. It was not. This movie has 5 seconds of Anna Paquin footage. Heartbreaking.

If you loved X-Men and/or Wolverine then this movie will be at the top of your list. It is the best mix of the original X-Men characters and the younger versions of themselves. I was not sure how they would combine them but I was amazingly surprised. The storyline was amazing and will keep your attention throughout the whole movie. It is a must have.

I have seen this film several times. This is the best X-Men movie period. I enjoyed X-Men: First Class which brought back the franchise after the disaster of X-Men: The Last Stand. Days of Future Past is a complete fast pace movie that keeps audiences engaged in the film from beginning to end. Must buy for Marvel, X-Men and superhero fans.

This was one the movies for this year that I anticipated the most! It was a given that it would take it's place in my BD library! But to get the the 3D, BD and vudu version for such a awesome price... I couldnt pass it up. I work in a store where I sell videos but I had to, for the sake of my budget, go to Best Buy and pick this one up! Dont miss out!

For anyone who loves bringing the old in with the new, this is it! To see the familiar faces intertwined with the new generation is truly a great way to spend an evening! I wouldn't have minded if the movie had been even longer. My only disappointment comes with the fact the BluRay release didn't come in DVD combo. Digital copies just aren't my thing!
