It kept me very interested in watching and the action never stopped. I found myself wanting more and afraid I might miss something and loose track of what point I was at.

I am an x-men aficionado and am a proud owner of every single X-Men movie that exists and I'm looking forward to buying the wolverine movies as well, simply because they have everything to do with X-Men and I'm also looking forward to buying Deadpool. I watched every single one of those movies and I am psyched about them but just waiting for prices to go down because they are seriously overpriced. I cannot wait for apocalypse to be out on the market to be purchased because I cannot wait to buy that one and am confident that I will not be displeased with it whatsoever. My single most favorite part of days of future past was the quicksilver scene and my six-year-old nephew watches it over and over on repeat because it is awesome and I can't blame him for repeating it over and over and I don't even get sick of it because it's just that awesome.

I would give this five stars but the DVD release of X-Men Days of Future Past is severely lacking and with no combo pack option (which seem to be disappearing all together) the DVD basically only gets a short gag reel. I of course will pick up the Blu-Ray release at a later date, but advise those with a blu-ray player and spend the extra $2 this first week and go for the blu-ray no matter what. Again very good film and at the top if not my favorite of the whole X-Men franchise. Solid acting, great story that has references and lot of thing true to the comics and animated series, while also giving us a new story and connecting the two distinctly different franchise together very smoothly and gives the X-Men universe a great overhaul that leaves us wanting more from both casts.

The "X-Men Days of Future Past" movie was great. It was pleasing that there were scenes with our beloved original cast members along with an action packed story that focuses on some of the new, "rebooted" X-Men. Of course, Hugh Jackman gets to be in the entire movie (future and past) and Jennifer Lawrence is given a good deal of screen time too -- argueably the two most popular actors of the lot (there is definitely a significant amount of other star power on hand as well). It was also fun to see "Game of Thrones" star Peter Dinklage as the enemy threat to the X-Men.

The X-Men movies are very hit or miss. Sometimes they hit the ball out of the park, sometimes its a grandslam. Days of Future Past is more of an RBI.... but not in a bad way! The only flaw this movie had was following the story. Why is Professor X like this? Why is Magneto like that? Who in the heck is this other person? If you look outside of these small complaints and just pay attention to the fact that its a solid X-Men movie, then there ya go! Make sure to keep watching after the credits to be extra stoked for the next movie!

X-Men Days of Future Past was a phenomenal movie all around. The special effects were seamless and exciting, the action was plentiful and the story was surprisingly thoughtful and interesting. They have redeemed themselves from the train wreck that X-Men 3 was. Now that they have put the franchise back on track, I am actually looking forward to X-Men Apocolypse. This installment of X-Men had an amazing cast playing beloved characters that is not only worth seeing, but worth buying to watch over and over again.

Saw this in theater and loved it, it takes a bit to get your mind around the time hopping but after that it's an amazing movie in my mind. I loved the action, the acting and the cast. If you're a fan of X-men, superheros and comic books you cannot go wrong with this movie. It has a little bit of something for everyone. This shouldn't be your first X-men movie as it has stuff that you may not understand if you've not seen older movies.

For having a movie I was so looking forward to, I really wanted to enjoy DoFP more. The soundtrack was great, the action was good and the plot was almost follow-able for an X-Men movie. It just... didn't have any heart. It lacked that spark that its First Class cousin had that made me love it so much. This was just sort of a "Here is it" movie. Perhaps if they hadn't switched between the future and post so much it would have been another matter. Also, it kinda wrecks the timeline. Recommended with reservations. Watch First Class or The Wolverine instead.

There aren't many franchises that can say they are as strong as ever with their 5th flick in the series, however X-Men can. I think many people had doubts when they heard about Bryan Singer returning or the large cast and that they'd be too many balls in the air to juggle or that the action wouldn't be up to par, and to be fair First Class had the same doubts and proved them wrong, as does this entry in the X-Men cinematic universe. Sets the stage for the future nicely and cleans up a lot of continuity issues.

I grew up on this story line in the comics and seeing it come to life was almost surreal. The action is amazing. The character development dives you deeper into some of your favorite X-Men characters and why they do what they do. The fight scenes with the Sentinels showcase many of the mutants powers like you've never seen them before. Easily one of my favorite movie in this genre!

I've been a fan of Marvel comics since junior high school and high school. I originally went to see this movie with my girlfriend. Since she hadn't seen the other X-Men movies, it was a bit difficult for her to follow. But for those who've seen the movies, it was a great follow up. Purchased this DVD to add to my collection. Looking forward to future Marvel comics movie releases.

This movie is a must if you have enjoyed the previous X-Men movies. It provides an in-depth background of some key characters, but less action than most of the other movies. The storyline reveals many details of the past that brings more dimension to Magneto, Prof X and others. The end makes it worth buying to watch it over and over, not to mention a signature Wolverine scene.

What an enjoyable movie from beginning to end! Awesome action and adventure for the whole family. With Sentinel Robot armies hunting down mutants and humans while Wolverine travels back in time to save humanity, this is a sure fire classic. Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique and Evan Peters as Quicksilver round out a fabulous cast. P.S. and check out the gag reel for a good laugh.

Can't say 'best' or 'worst' or anything of that kind... can say 'fantastic continuation' of the series! fantastic! Many 'sequels' don't really measure up, but this one does. It's based on a great idea that one might think was designed right from the very beginning. Was it? It may have been! And that's what makes it great... it's a cohesive part of the entire story, it keeps people interested, wanting their hero's to survive... Did they? you'll have to watch to find out

The movie itself is fantastic. Plenty of action and an engaging story line. My gripes are all with the packaging. I bought the DVD version and am still disappointed they did not offer a combo pack of Blue-Ray & DVD. I would gladly pay a little extra to get both formats in one box. The discs themselves only cost pennies to produce. Plus they further punish the DVD buyers by only including lame extras that were useless while the BR version has hours of extras.

This is one of the best X-Men movies of the series. It did not stay true to the original Days of Future Past comic storyline, but I did not hold that against the movie. Some fanboys might hate the movie because it wasn't exactly like the original comic script. But if you judge it without comparing it to the comic, it holds up very well on it's own. Well done.

    A Return to X-Movie Greatness

A sequel to both X-Men: The Last Stand and X-Men: First Class, X-Men: Days of Future Past (based on the classic Marvel Comics story) has director Bryan Singer correct the missteps of Last Stand and give X-fans a live-action comic-book crossover event that revitalizes the franchise. The movie does suffer a little from Wolverine burnout (does he have to be in every movie?), but new addition Quicksilver practically steals the movie. Recommended.

If you loved X-Men and/or Wolverine then this movie will be at the top of your list. It is the best mix of the original X-Men characters and the younger versions of themselves. I was not sure how they would combine them but I was amazingly surprised. The storyline was amazing and will keep your attention throughout the whole movie. It is a must have.
