great price and a great film. I love that it comes with an iTunes digital download so we can watch through our Apple TV when lazy but still have the bluray for when I want to emerge myself in an uncompressed soundtrack

Saw this in theater and loved it, it takes a bit to get your mind around the time hopping but after that it's an amazing movie in my mind. I loved the action, the acting and the cast. If you're a fan of X-men, superheros and comic books you cannot go wrong with this movie. It has a little bit of something for everyone. This shouldn't be your first X-men movie as it has stuff that you may not understand if you've not seen older movies.

For most movies it would be a good thing if they cut footage from the movie but not for this movie. The Rouge Cut contains excellent footage that should not have been deleted from the movie you saw in theaters. This footage makes the movie even better than it already is which is excellent without the extra footage. This version also contains the theatrical version so you watch both and decide yourself which you like better.

    Rogue cut adds little

I enjoyed the theatrical version, but when I heard about the "Rogue Cut" I was even more excited. It was supposed to fill in a few plot holes and add suspense. The promise is not quite fully fulfilled. The additional scenes do explain how the Sentinels tracked Xavier's mutants, for example, but I thought Rogue's rescue mission unfolded too conveniently. If you don't own the theatrical version, then go ahead and buy this collection since you get both cuts of the movie. But if you already have the original, there is little need to buy this title unless you must own everything X-Men related. :-)

I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. A good cast and plot to make this one of the better X-men film since the original 2 films in the franchise. Worth watching and adding to your movie library. The only disappointing thing was in the case. It did not come bundled with the DVD copy. I like the DVD in the bundle so the kids can watch that disc and if it get scratched I will still have the Blue Ray. Guess it is time to look into the digital part offered.

This followed original story line. It was in an X-men comic book, which one I do not remember, I don't think that matters. Anyways this is the kind of X-men movie fans will love. The professer is back, I was not disappointed by this movie. This is the kind of X-Men movies I expect. Not lame shots at them, like the class. If you like the last one great, I was not impressed with the class, the new one I was. This is like the orginals, first three.

Good extended edition but not entirely necessary.

A good extended version of the film that fleshes out a couple of plot points that got cut out of the theatrical version. I don't think that they're truly essential to the film, but they are worth checking out if one did not but the original Blu-Ray release. If one did buy the original Blu-Ray, I can't see recommending this based on the fact that the additional scenes really aren't essential to the enjoyment or understanding of the movie. I wish Fox had seen fit to just include this cut on the original release though and not tried to sell consumers two copies of what is essentially the same movie.

X-Men Days of Future Past is another good outing for the team, intros new mutants, and Wolverine takes center stage for the most part. QuickSilver steals a scene.. Still trying to figure out a little how Professor X came back from the dead and Magneto regained his powers, though they sort of implied in the last stand they were not fully gone. Blink is one of the more impressive new mutants. The Blu-Ray is good, seemed a little light on extras.

Best 3D Quality movie I've seen - Best X-Men movie

I didn't expect much of a movie when I walked into the theater the week this came out, but following the movie I felt that this was simply the best X-Men to date. After watching it the second time, in 3D, I was blown away at the 3D quality of the movie. Being shot in 3D, opposed to being converted post production, really came through. I rate this movie on the quality of Blu-ray/3D effect as well as the movie and how I enjoyed it. Great movie!

Pretty Good Continuation to the Series

X-Men: Days of Future Past was a pretty good movie. It has a lot of action & a pretty good story line to it. Wolverine is sent back into his past via Kitty Pride through a sort of mind transference to stop the creation of the seriously deadly Centinals (if you ever watched the X-Men cartoon series, they are nothing at all like them.) He has to stop Mystique from being captured by Trask Industries with the help of the younger Charles Xavier, Magneto & Beast (Hank McCoy) (From First Class) to prevent the Centinals from ever being created. All in all it's a good movie with plenty of action & some humor to it.

This was one of the best X-Men movies I have ever seen (and I have seen them all). This was a nice pallet cleanser after "The Wolverine" for me. The blending of the two casts (present and past), was brilliantly done and it had a great story to boot. The picture and sounds quality were intense on a surround sound, as one would hope from a comic book movie. All in all, it was a lot of fun to watch and will have many more viewings in our house!

Mild Spoiler below... So I would've given this 5 stars, because the theatrical cut is amazing, and so is this cut ... but I expected more. It's called, The Rogue Cut, and she's barley in it! (Spoiler!!! )... she doesn't even show up until close to the end of the movie! You're better off watching the theatrical cut first, then if you like it or really like Rogue or a fan of series, then watch this cut. Great movie, but this cut is kind of just a novelty version because she was cut from the final version. Don't get me wrong it's still a better buy, because you get both versions of the movie.

    The best X-Men film

This film almost makes up for the previous attempts and is the definitive X-men film. Great performances by all the actors, great plot, and for the first time it simply felt like an X-men film, despite missing Cyclops, Jean, Rogue, and Gambit. This is what should be expected from the series moving forward, and is what the previous films should have looked to do. Aside from Guardians of the Galaxy, this is the best Super-hero movie of 2014.

    Straightens out X-Men movie continuity...

The one thing negative about all the X-Men films is they don't have their history sorted out straight. They've simply made each film one after the other without any planned or consistent universe-building. X-Men: DOFP straightens all that out and sets the stage for Fox building a franchise akin to Marvel's Avenger's. The movie is great with amazing set pieces but the real fun is seeing both casts (First Class & Original) interact together and in their own generations. This was a fun movie but X2: X-Men United still takes the cake as the best X-Men movie out there. This is close though - really close :)

Somehow, more interesting on Blu than in theatre

I think the hype for this one did it in in the theatre, at least for me. It came out during a summer of big "tentpole" movies, and though I enjoyed it, it felt lost among Captain America 2, Godzilla, Transformers 4 and Guardians of the Galaxy. On Blu, however, I was able to pace it and really absorb the story, and it's a good one. Different from the comics, but solid in its own right (and, in the movie universe Fox has created). Fun moments, great action, solid performances from big-time modern stars. I'm ticked at myself for giving it short shrift in the theatres... I'll be watching this often on Blu.

I saw X-Men: Days of Future Past in the theater and loved it. But when I learned that there would be a different version ("The Rogue Cut") released, I made sure to hold off on buying the movie on Blu-ray until this new version was made available. And now that I have it, I can assure you it was worth the wait! Great special features AND an awesome new subplot involving the eponymous mutant with very special powers. Check it out!

X-Men fans can be a prickly lot and over the last 14 years since Bryan Singer's first movie, they have run hot and cold on the films, mostly loving the first two, intensely disliking LAST STAND and splitting the difference on FIRST CLASS and the two WOLVERINE movies. Singer's latest effort, X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST, may well be the best of the lot and a film that even the most particular of fans will find hard to totally dislike.

Good story, would have like to seen all of the characters throughout the entire movie especially the new ones ( Bishop, Blink, Sunspot, Warpath, etc...) kind of like how the new characters were in "First Class" and "Last Stand". Still was a great movie, I loved the kitchen scene with the Quicksilver character, it was hilarious and the music was perfect. Keep the X-Men movies coming :) Special Edition/Exclusive packaging is also great.

I rarely purchase a similar product twice. But I felt compelled after reading the reviews, and boy am I glad I did. Not only do you get the Rogue Cut, but you also receive the theatrical cut as well. I ended up preferring the Rogue Cut. I felt it went deeper into some characters and left me more satisfied with the series. If you never purchased Days of Future Past and you're a Marvel fan, then this is the one to get!
