X-men is such a wonderful franchise the movies have been pretty consistent. This is a great entry in the series and a great "New Beginning" to the story. If you've seen it, this is a great Blu Ray to add to your collection. If you haven't seen it, it's a safe blind buy. Highly recommended!!!

When this first came out it was just going to be a reboot of the franchise. It's a great movie that stands on it's own even if you haven't seen any of the other x-men films. This is my favorite of the new steelbooks, Magneto was a great choice for the cover.

Definitely see the difference between DVD and 4K movies on the 4K TV. Regular Blu-ray still looks great though! I'm slowly turning over my DVD action movies to 4K, but keeping the Blu-ray for now. The 4K movies are expensive but excellent quality on the 4K TV.

Let me just put it this way. My wife disdains the Sci Fi genre and will not go to the theater to see a comic book movie. I rented this one and she was in the same room while I watched it. She actually ended up watching most of it and said that it was pretty good. You won't be disappointed.

This was the first X-Men film that I loved!! The casting is perfect!! Incredibly well written!! I love how it mixes real history with super heroes!! There are moments of awe and excitement!! Fantastic score that I listen to a lot!! Can't recommend this one enough!!

A nice prequel to the X-men series and a movie I personally enjoyed. Many famous faces in the movie, some before they were big stars and excellent special effects. I don't know how true to the comics this film is but it's worth a spot in one's collection.

I really like the movie which is why I bought it. The challenge is that the digital copy is only a HD copy and not a UHD like the disc that is included. In reality I watch the vast majority of my movies using digital so having to pop out a disc into my UHD player is not my ideal situation.

X-men is a wonderful origin story of professor x, magneto, and mystic. It is great reboot to another wise tapped out franchise. I really enjoy the new casting. Comes in nice steelbook treatment along with bonus digital copy. Must have for serious collector.

Really, really good movie! Kevin Bacon is awesome, as usual. James McAvoy does a heck of a job as Professor X. J Law and Michael Fassbender show the world that they are remarkable talents. And even a cameo by Hugh Jackman! A must see even if you're not a fan of superhero movies.

The film itself is one of the best of the Xmen franchise with incredible casting and chemistry between the players. The 60's setting adds some fun to the whole experience and the intense investigation of the effect the time in the German death camps had on Magneto/Erik makes for a depth most people don't expect from "comic book movies".

Although this is the 5th movie in the Marvel X-Men series, it can be considered a Prequel to the first film, since it revelas more Background information about the mutant characters, including how they named themselves and the discovery of their super powers. The plot in this installment is their teaming up to stop a global nuclear war.

It was a really great way to relaunch the series after the horrible disappointment of X3. Really enjoyed how they went back and fleshed out Magnetos origin and showed what drove him to being the man we see later. Did not like the change to Mystique's origin but it worked for the movie.

The audio and video quality of this Blu Ray disc are excellent. The movie itself ranks in the top 3 for the x-men movies. If you are looking for action and gnarly powers it may not be your favorite. But I really enjoyed what they did with Xavier and Magneto's characters.

They took an existing franchise and injected new blood into it. Stands well on its own but is fun to see where the characters end up. Acting great, character development fun to see, the inside jokes because you know what will happen is fun. And Kevin Bacon is awesome.

I really just wanted to type, It's not X-Men: Last Stand in the what's great section. Wonderful introduction of some side characters, and a great restart of what should be the premier Marvel franchise. Still wish Kevin Bacon would have been a different villain though.

This is the first film in the newest x men trilogy featuring Fassbender’s excellent take on the Magneto character. Mcavoy is also great as a young Xavier. Great film and it’s follow up Days of Future Past is even greater.

It feels like it's the very first Xmen movie and is not ashamed of wearing costumes. It also has fun while weighting heavy issues. Great score, beautiful cinematography, love the practical effects as well as VFX. Sound is strong. Great extras.

I bought this during Black Friday sales and it was a great price. I have not read the comics, so I have no complaints about this movie. I thought it was very well done and has an excellent cast. Anyone who enjoys sci-fi/action/comic book movies would enjoy this.

This movie really looks great with 4k resolution and the wider color gamut. Check it out for yourself. I have an Epson projector 100" screen and this movie looks stunning. These X-Men movies are tough to beat among all the Marvel movies.

For being one of the first of these movies to be set in 4k, is not that bad. There is grain within the film and unfortunately some noise within the film's image as well. It's still the best this movie has ever been presented. It is a must have for fans of the franchise.
