Not as good as the original X-men trilogy but the new cast of characters do a good job. Nice to have some of the original characters with the new characters. The ability to go back in time is a little far fetched though. Good movie I thought overall.

I think that was one of the greatest X-Men films ever made. I really enjoyed all of the action, mystery, suspense, plotline and cast of this film which made this one my favorite X-Men films and I'm also a fan of all of the X-Men films as well.

To start out the whole new storyline of the X-Men franchise, the writers and directors did an amazing job here. This "beginnings" story was very well done and the addition of McAvoy as Prof. X was a brilliant decision.

I love all X-Men movies. This one is actually better than the previous ones with the old characters. And the bluray version just makes it better with its top notch picture quality and sound quality. It feels like watching in theater.

I knew when they announced that Michael Fassbender and James McCavoy would be in this movie, that it would be incredible. I wasn't disappointed in any way when it finally came out. They brought new life to these characters so many people love.

This is a great retro throw back to the origins of the X-Men. Of course, certain liberties were taken with some aspects(especially which mutants were the first X-Men), but there is more than enough great stuff in the film to make up for it.

I generally like this movie, it's probably the best X-Men flick since X2. The story drags a bit at points and some of the acting, especially from the younger cast members isn't great. Fassbender and McAvoy are both excellent though. I've had a DVD copy for a while and was excited to upgrade to Blu Ray for just $8!

Great origin story of the X-Men and how everything came to be in the X-Men storyline from the years past. Well put together to give most details of the timeline. The movie is set in the 60s, so it keeps with the fact that the comics were from that decade.

Love the way they brought back characters in younger stage of life. They were able to take a whole new approach on XMEN. VERY smart and sharp. Kevin bacon , and Micheal Fassbender still the show. If your a comic fan this is the way our characters were meant to be told. Great pace. Great story plenty of action!

X-Men First Class is a quality first new film from the Fox/Marvel franchise. I sets up hints of the previous films while being a great film on its own. The characters are introduced nicely, everyone has a good story to follow for future follow up films.

It's nice to have a movie to explain some of the items that come up in later films. It's especially nice since I did not read the comic books and I was still able to understand and follow the movies better. It filled in some gaps to questions I had.

The movie was good. The storyline was good. Also, this is one of the few movies where the 4k Upgrade was actually significantly noticeable. I've purchased about 50 4k movies so far and I can actually tell you that this is worth getting in 4k vs Blu-ray.

First Class it is a very good X-Men movie, this UHD 4K version is lacking. First issue the sound is the same as the Blu-ray release, major disappointment because we have been enjoying the Dolby Atmos sound. Second issue is the picture is honestly uninspiring, it might be better than the blu-ray but nothing popped. We can easily believe the upconverted blu-ray we already own would look as good. Third issue is (sadly) FOX does not redeem UHD blu-ray UV codes as UDH you get the regular HD UV. Disappointing because WB, Universal, Lionsgate are trying to redeem their Blu-ray 4K UHD movies UV codes for streaming UHD, diffidently will affect our purchases of FOX 4K titles in the future. In our opinion it is great movie but the 4K version hardly qualifies as UHD.

I had already purchased X-Men: First Class for myself and my wife and it was so good I got a copy for my extended family. If you haven't seen it and you enjoy a serious adaptation of a sci-fi adventure then this is a great movie for you.

The movie taken by itself is very well done, and the actors are excellent in their roles. The only real problem is fitting a lot of this into the existing continuity of the series. As for the Blu-Ray, it's well done and the picture is great.

I have the recent X-men films in 4k and have enjoyed watching them again with this clarity. My wife had never seen the series so rewatching them in 4k was especially enjoyable when reviewing this great series.

Is the threat humans or mutants? In an interesting re-boot of the franchise Charles Xavier and his half-sister Raven have some very interesting abilities that either fascinate or frighten. A worthy effort that combines modern effects with a cool retro style of the late 60's England.

I like the whole X Men series of movies and this one was no different. I liked the idea of seeing the X Men as a younger group. My brother and I have a different opinion of the movie but he has read the X Men comic books over the years and a bigger fan than I am. I enjoyed the movie as a movie fan.

In my opinion this is best XMen movie. The plot kept me hooked the whole time. No boring parts. I was happy with all the acting. Especially Micheal Fassbender who I'd only seen in 300. He is an amazing Magneto. Can't wait for the sequel to this.

X-men first class steelbook features Kevin Bacons character Sebastion Shaw. The movie is the first to feature a whole new cast in established rolls played by Patrick Stewart and Ian Mckellen as well as others.
