As the first superhero film to usher in the modern era, as well as the longest running superhero franchise without a solid reboot (10 entries as of 2016- counting Logan [2017]). One of the highlights is the stellar casting of Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, and Ian McKellan as Wolverine, Prof. X, and Magneto, respectively. A solid, if simple by today's standards, story brings together some classic characters in a film the holds up surprisingly well.

This was really the first organized, big budget attempt to bring Marvel comics to the screen. There were movies before this but they were pretty much all cheesy affairs. This movie is well worth seeing and owning if you don't all ready. This "1.5" version has lots of extra and was designed to have preview stuff for X2.

This is an excellent film. At the time it was unique, there have been a few X-men movies since, but in my opinion this is stilll the best of them. I just wish it was a little less drama and little more action, but it is still a must own dvd.

I found this to be the best of the recent X-men movies so far. I wish they would incorporate Gambit into them but o well. There is a lot of drama that draws away from the orignal comic, but i still find the movie a good watch! Must own!

They did an all-right job on picking some of the actors for this like Hugh Jackman, Cyclops, Professor X, and a few others but a few weren't that great. They had a good storyline as well. I would recommend this movie.

This is the best x-men movie but they left out two characters. :{ But it is one of my favoite movie and it cool every one should watch it.

The casting director should get a pay raise for getting more people that look like the characters from the comics.

This movie is awsome. I especially like Rogue & Wolverine. This is a great movie to have in your collection.

Rebecca Romijn plays Mystique, a character who is pivotal to many of the conflicts and schemes that happen in the plot. Romijn does a great job of portraying the character's insouciance, especially when contrasted with the dour Wolverine.

I am not rating the movie as I am rating the product. Well best buy did it again and listed inaccurately. This item is not a steelbook it is the same metalpaks that have been out for a long time. Just wanted to warn others that might have thought the same thing I did. I thought $8 for a steelbook with a $8 movie money that can't be right, sure enough I was right.

Good movie, but when i opened the case their was only one dise . Package states theirs two.
