Customers are saying

Customers commend the Xbox Series S for its affordability, compact size, and impressive performance, especially considering its price point. Many appreciate the ease of use and fast load times, along with the benefits of Xbox Game Pass. However, some users point out limitations in storage capacity and the lack of a disc drive as significant drawbacks. The console's resolution capabilities also receive mixed feedback.

Hands down best bang for your buck. Plays most titles with no problems for half of what next gen consoles cost

Console is good and I have not had any problems with it, DO NO DO USE THE CITIZEN'S ONE FINANCING OPTION. As far as I can tell so far it is just a run around making you call in each month to get a new code for Xbox Game Pass. You are better off to either buy the console by itself. Or just keep calling to get codes everyday until you have a years worth of codes.

Fast, compact next-gen gaming if you don't need 4k The X-Box Series S is a slick, fast little machine that is a great entry point for next-gen gaming. If you pair it with Microsoft Game Pass you won't even need to buy any games to get started - or - EVER really. It's not for everybody and hardcore gamers will want to wait for either an Xbox Series X or a PS5. WHO THIS IS FOR - * People who want to get in on next gen gaming without breaking the bank. * PS5 owners who want to play Microsoft exclusives or have access to Microsoft game pass. It's a perfect "game pass machine." * People who don't own or don't really care to own, a 4k UHD TV. * People who don't put a priority on having top of the line performance - i.e. non-competitive gamers, kids, etc. * People who don't need physical media for games / entertainment. WHO THIS IS NOT FOR - * Hard core gamers who want to take advantage of all the bells and whistles that the most powerful next-gen consoles have to offer (i.e. Series X & PS5) * People who want to game in full 4k @ 120 hz / 120 fps. The Series S maxes out at 1440p. * People with a large library of Xbox / 360 / Xbox One physical games and / or DVDs. The Series S is digital only. The jury is still out on how future proof the Series S will be once developers start really taking advantage of the Series X's horsepower. But for now, and honestly - I upgraded to a Series X - the differences are negligible.

At the price point this is a great console. What you need to know is this. Yes this is a 1440p console. However, if you do not have a 4K capable display, you can not output in HDR. This is such a huge oversight. This product is sold as a 1440p console, yet, you cannot enable HDR unless you can output 4k on your display. I docked one star for this very reason.

I’m not a hardcore gamer. Really fast. Plays war zone and the racing games really well. What was a big deal for me was WiFi speeds and this far surpasses my last gen console (which I bought at release).

It’s worth the money for all the entertainment it provides. Both boys fight over who gets to play first. My boys love the game pass you can purchase to have access to over 100 games.
