The speed of the SSD is noticeable right away. Provides great visuals and no performance issues whatsoever. This thing is a beast. Look forward to upgrading my TV for 120 Hz/FPS but 60 looks great too. Expansion drive plugs right in and worked with no issues. New controller is familiar, with just a few tweaks making it an upgrade for this generation. Haven't test backwards compatibility so I can't comment on that. Highly recommend this console.

Obviously the Series X specs indicate it is better than the Series S, but the machine is far more capable than the Xbox One. I can play all the games I loved on the Xbox One with its backwards compatibility, and now all the games targeting the current platform. Another great feature is the ability to play 4K Blu-rays. The interface isn't as intuitive as a dedicated player, but it allows me to take full advantage of my 4K tv in ways I couldn't before. I would argue a big drawback is the storage. Modern consoles have games that take up a lot more space. Unfortunately, modern storage expansion options can be both limited and expensive. The Microsoft Xbox Series S|X would be much better of their were more affordable options for storage expansion.
