As an avid gamer, I recently upgraded to the Xbox Series X, and I must say it is an absolute gaming powerhouse. This next-generation gaming console has heightened my gaming experience to unprecedented levels, delivering stunning visuals, lightning-fast load times, and an array of impressive features that redefine what a console can do. First and foremost, the Xbox Series X's graphical prowess is phenomenal. Playing games in stunning 4K resolution at a smooth 60 frames per second has completely immersed me in breathtaking worlds like never before. The ray tracing technology brings lifelike lighting and reflections, adding a new level of realism to my favorite titles. The HDR support further enhances colors and contrasts, making every game visually striking and vibrant. Load times are a thing of the past with the Xbox Series X. Thanks to its innovative custom SSD, games load faster than ever before. There's no more waiting around; I can jump into my games within seconds, ensuring uninterrupted and seamless gaming sessions. The Quick Resume feature allows me to effortlessly switch and resume multiple games, adding to the convenience and versatility of the console. With the Xbox Series X, backward compatibility is truly remarkable. Not only can I play my entire Xbox One library, but also experience enhanced performance and improved visuals for select titles. The Smart Delivery feature ensures that I always have the best version of a game, whether I'm playing on the Xbox Series X or an older console. This seamless transition between generations is a huge plus. The new Xbox Wireless Controller is a joy to use. It maintains the familiar layout while introducing enhanced grip texture and a more ergonomic design, ensuring comfortable gaming sessions even during extended play. The addition of a dedicated Share button simplifies capturing and sharing epic gameplay moments with friends and the gaming community. The Xbox Series X boasts an extensive library of games with Xbox Game Pass, which offers a vast selection of titles that cater to every gaming preference. The subscription service gives me access to popular games on launch day, ensuring I'm never short of gaming options. The Xbox Series X's backward compatibility also allows me to revisit beloved titles from previous generations, truly maximizing the value of my gaming experience. The console's whisper-quiet operation is worth highlighting. Unlike previous generations, the Xbox Series X remains remarkably silent, even during intensive gaming sessions. This means no distractions and complete immersion in the gaming world. The Xbox Series X's sleek and minimalistic design adds a touch of elegance to any entertainment setup. The console's size might be larger than its predecessors, but its sleek black exterior and minimalist aesthetics make it a stylish addition to any living room or gaming den. In conclusion, the Xbox Series X is a game-changer in every sense. Its breathtaking visuals, lightning-fast load times, extensive backward compatibility, and immersive gaming features reaffirm its status as a true gaming marvel. Whether you're a casual gamer or a hardcore enthusiast, the Xbox Series X will undoubtedly elevate your gaming experience to new heights.

The Xbox Series X is an absolute powerhouse! From the moment I unboxed it, I was impressed by its sleek, minimalistic design in Carbon Black—it’s futuristic but blends perfectly with any setup. The 1TB storage is more than enough to load up on my favorite games, and with the quick resume feature, switching between games is incredibly smooth. The performance is mind-blowing. Games run in stunning 4K with buttery smooth frame rates, and the load times are practically non-existent thanks to the SSD. Whether I’m playing the latest AAA titles or exploring older games with enhanced performance, the Series X handles it all flawlessly. I also love how quiet the console is, even when running graphically intense games. It barely makes a sound, allowing me to fully immerse myself in the experience. Plus, it’s backward compatible with tons of Xbox One, 360, and even original Xbox games, so my entire game library is always ready to go. If you’re serious about gaming and want the best console experience, the Xbox Series X is a must-have. It’s fast, powerful, and future-proof—truly a game-changer

The Xbox Series X is an incredible console and easily the best gaming system I’ve owned. The performance is outstanding—games load extremely fast, graphics are stunning, and gameplay feels smooth even at 4K with high frame rates. Quick Resume is a huge plus and makes switching between games effortless. The console itself is quiet, well-built, and looks sleek. It handles demanding games without overheating or slowing down. Backward compatibility is also a major win since I can play older Xbox titles with improved performance. Overall, the Xbox Series X delivers exactly what next-gen gaming should feel like. If you’re looking for power, speed, and reliability, this console is 100% worth it. Highly recommend.

The Series X is absolutely the best VALUE console... if you can get your hands on one that is... First, the hardware, the Series X has a 1TB NVME SSD, with about 800 GB available after the OS files take over. Compared to the Series S 512 GB with about 360 available for user files, or the PS5's 825 GB with 667 GB of usable space. Why is storage so important? Because next gen games CANNOT be loaded on to an external drive. As of this review (Feb 2021) there are still no expansion solutions for the PS5. Xbox Series can use an external drive to store the games and play backwards compatible games, so there is a bit of a relief if you don't want to spend $220 on a 1TB expansion card. The console itself is surprisingly small, while still monolithic, it is noticeably more compact than previous generation consoles in terms of sheer volume. I found it's far easy to put my Series X into my backpack with some other stuff. I do travel a bit for work so my use case is a bit more unique, but it's nice nonetheless. That being said, you may want to check you can fit it into your entertainment center due to the cuboid shape. The controller isn't a huge departure from the Xbox One generation, the inclusion of a dedicated capture button is a welcome improvement, as is the addition of textured grips and updated VERY CLICKY d-pad. The PS5 controller seems to be having issues with drift due to the new design, so if it ain't broke don't fix it. Performance wise, this is easily the fastest console on the market in terms of actual day to day use. Quick Resume functions far better than the PS5's game suspend function, as I've noticed the Series X can keep a couple of games suspended, even when powered off and unplugged, the PS5 seems to just keep one in memory and only while plugged in. Backwards compatible games absolutely fly, and with the work that Xbox has put in to make BC games perform better I have found myself playing older games that took forever to load. There aren't many exclusive next gen games but Gears 5 is noticeably better looking on a 4K TV compared to last generations powerhouse the Xbox One X. Cross platform games generally have more options on the Series X than on S or PS5. For example on Cyberpunk you have a 60 FPS mode or a 4K mode (that runs at a LOCKED 30 fps and runs at higher quality setting than any other console in terms of ray tracing and npc density). The PS5 only has one option and it appears to be a 60 FPS mode. The weak part of the Series X would be the lack of games if it wasn't for GamePass. If you're buying an Xbox without GamePass you may as well not buy any Xbox as it is THE reason to get into the Xbox ecosystem. Access to every new Microsoft produced game day one is fantastic. I barely purchase games anymore as most of the games I want to play are on GamePass, the inclusion of EA play in Ultimate definitely the way to go. The reason why you may not be interested in an Xbox is the PS5, which frankly at the time of writing this review has a better next gen library. I understand that Xbox studios is working hard on new games but the PS5 has the stronger launch lineup. If you have an existing Xbox library, or don't have a last gen console then the Series X is the far better value proposition as the Series X has 4 generations of games available instantly thanks to GamePass. If you're wanting to check out GamePass but don't want to spend as much money and are more invested in the Playstation ecosystem, it might be more prudent to check out the Series S due to the lower cost of entry. You will be hampered by the significantly smaller drive and the focus on 1080p gaming, which is fine for people looking for a bedroom console or fortnite machine for the kids. In conclusion the Series X is the best console for the money right now, and will likely hold its value far into the future. The PS5 controller issues and lack of expandable storage make it a wait to buy until stock and hardware issues can be sorted out. The Series S will likely be easier to buy and cheaper, but you might find yourself wanting to upgrade in a year or two when next gen games REALLY take advantage of the hardware.

Coming from PlayStation I have to say that Xbox series x is a powerhouse. I have a whole backlog library to catch up! Only 3 stars cause bestbuy wouldn’t let me add a protection plan online nor at the store. Nobody knows why they can’t add it.
