Picked up the Xbox Series X from Best Buy and it’s been outstanding so far. Setup was quick and easy, and the performance difference compared to older consoles is immediately noticeable. Games load almost instantly, run incredibly smooth, and look amazing in 4K. The console stays quiet even during long gaming sessions, and the Quick Resume feature makes jumping between games effortless. Storage speed alone makes a huge difference. The controller feels solid and comfortable, especially for extended play. Overall, this is a premium console that delivers exactly what it promises. Very happy with the purchase and would definitely recommend it.

The Xbox Series X delivers fast load times, smooth gameplay, and excellent 4K graphics. Games run extremely well, especially with support for up to 120 FPS. The console is quiet, easy to set up, and the included wireless controller feels comfortable and responsive. The 1TB storage provides plenty of space to get started, although larger games can fill it quickly. Overall, it is a powerful and reliable console that is well worth the upgrade.

    Xbox Series X Review

The Xbox Series X is a solid, no-nonsesne gaming system that does what it’s supposed to do without trying to impress you with nonsense. It’s heavy, well-built, and doesn’t feel cheap. The design is plain, which is fine—this is something you plug in and use, not admire from across the room. Performance is the main reason to buy it. Games load fast, sometimes almost instantly, and once they’re running they stay running. No freezing, no stuttering, and no waiting around staring at loading screens like the old days. You turn it on, pick a game, and it works, which is more than can be said for a lot of modern tech. The picture quality is very good if you have a proper 4K television. Everything looks sharp and smooth, and motion is handled well without looking fake or overdone. You don’t need to fiddle with settings to get a decent image, which is appreciated. It just looks better than older systems, plain and simple. Backward compatability is one of the better features. Older Xbox games load quicker and run smoother, which makes upgrading feel less like a waste of money. It’s nice not being forced to re-buy games you already paid for years ago.

I've had the xbox series x and PS5. Overall, I love my xbox series X. It runs quickly, looks good, and I love the xbox controller. Quick resume is a great feature. In my opinion, the xbox is better than PS5 in every way except for two. One is expanded storage. The seagate storage is expensive and you are limited to them. On PS5, it is m.2 NVME SSDs that meet certain criteria, which is cheaper and more widely available. Second, I prefer the PS5 game library. Their exclusives are better and I don't care that much for game pass. However, i still pick xbox because most of the games are on both consoles and the xbox just runs so much better and faster than the PS5.

First Console to Ever Feel Truly Next Generation

I have bought the Xbox 360, Xbox one, PS4 and PS4 Pro at launch. I have kind of just gotten used to buying a new console at launch. While this one was tricky to acquire, i will say one thing. This is the first console i have every bought that felt truly next generation! The SSD drastically improves load screens (longest load screen on Diablo 3 was about 2 seconds) and call of duty warzone now allows me to participate in the pregame warm ups with roughly 57 seconds. The xbox one and PS4 pro gave me around 15-20 seconds usually. It is super quiet, and the UI is unchanged so its super familiar. Even games that arent optimized for this console play incredibly well. Warzone runs on average of around 110-114 frames per second (i usually play aggressively so there is a bunch of action on the screen at any one time) Diablo 3 is limited to 60 fps from the developer (Blizzard Entertainment) but it still performs incredibly well. Cyberpunk 2077 (despite the harsh criticism) performs really well too. Load screens are only a few seconds long, the visuals are beautiful, and the new controller truly does cut down on input delay (high fps helps too). I hooked up my xbox one and my series x side by side. I tested the delay with reloading the same exact gun at the same exact time. The series x was noticeably faster (even though its in milliseconds, if you look hard enough you will see it). It stays incredibly cool. It does get warm (As all hardware does) but it stays within acceptable temperatures. Optimal temperature really. Overall, having played my buddies PS5 and having played the Series X, i must admit, i prefer the series x. The PS5 wont play games in 120 fps unless they have been ported over to new gen, where as the series x is getting an update here soon that will make almost every game run at higher frame rates without the game developer issuing a patch (Crucial for me as i love going back and playing old titles). Pros: Fast load times Stays quiet Stays cool Faster FPS Improved controller connection to allow less input delay (Crucial for competitive gamers) Backwards compatible with almost every single game (excluding kinect games) The new controller is even more comfortable than the XB1 controller with its new Dpad, new grip, rounded triggers and bumpers. Cons: The only really approved external storage are some proprietary SSD cards that seagate makes. Who knows when other 3rd party manufacturers will get involved. I would recommend this to everyone.

So far so good. Purchased for my grandson and he absolutely loves it. It is super fast and the graphic shows very clear on the screen. The movement on the hand controller is very smooth and easy the use. This item is user friendly overall and I will recommend it to anyone who loves gaming. Performance is great and has good storage.

If you're on an XBox One this is certainly with the upgrade. You won't see much changed or different with the Xbox interface but the performance is incredible. Games load super fast and sometimes instantaneous with quick resume. Frame rates and image quality are improved over the Xbox One depending on the title. I play a lot of Warzone and I find that I am usually loaded into the game quicker than even some of the quickest PC players I play with and the graphics details have improved as well as the frame rate. It's not a PC but it's darn close at least in Call of Duty. It definitely competes with lower-end PC builds for sure. The system does run hot but as long as you keep it properly ventilated it won't cause you any issues. If you have an enclosed media cabinet you can orient this on the side but it's advisable to keep the cabinet door open while playing and make sure there's enough room on the top and bottom to allow adequate airflow. You're not going to have any fire hazards as the machine is built to shutdown if it overheats (and I've yet to have that happen to me). But if you aren't allowing proper airflow I cannot attest to your experience there. I don't use the included controller because I have an Microsoft Xbox Elite 2 controller and it works like a charm with this and even takes your settings over from an old Xbox without you having to reconfigure anything. I have held the new controller and it's slightly improved over the Xbox One Controller but nothing vastly different. I'd say it's like a baby version of the Elite 2 controller, no changing thumbsticks or D pad and it doesn't have any paddles that can be mapped on the bottom, but the they do have a better D-pad than the Xbox One default controllers. I have heard some reviewers talk about Xbox vs PS5 and I say go with the console that has all the games you want to play. Xbox Ultimate Game pass offers a great way to access a large library of games as a service. I don't think you get the same thing on the Sony PlayStation Now service, but you also can't play Spider-man Miles Morales on an Xbox (if that even matters to you). If you're gaming on a smaller game monitor or want a PC-lite experience Xbox Series X is the way to go. It supports a variety of PC monitor resolutions like 1440 Enchanced HD and 4K output. Highly recommend this console or an upgrade to this console if you can get your hands on one.
