easy way to upgrade a 6 year old build.

I previously used the integrated graphics in my PC build from 6 years ago: A 2nd Gen Intel Core i7 processor with 8GB of ram. I'd say overall a 25 to 30 percent performance improvement and a massive uptick in performance in photo editing software. even Street Fighter 4 at max settings runs about 45 frames per second now. previously i was lucky to get 10 fps. recently upgrading my Ram to a total of 20GB plus this Video card I hope to get another 5 years of use out of this build. I would recommend this for older PCs within the last 7 years or PCs using integrated graphics. i was very skeptical feeling this would be a downgrade and no sign of a dedicated power port for the PSU, but it works.

Great entry level card to revive older systems

Ok. I just got this and installed now. So first of all, this is not blazing fast GPU given that it's an entry level GPU released six years ago. Please do not expect it to be a performer. That said, it can still rejuvenate existing systems so that you can play moderate games such as Fortnite and War Thunder. Performance is best at moderate settings though. AAA games would be a stretch at best. In other words, if you've got an older system and also want to play older games, then this is the card for you. And honestly the 4GB unless for movies, would be a stretch as both the APU and GPU would be maxed out by then making the extra 2GB redundant. But then again, this is also a cheap GPU. I just bought it online at the time of writing for $60 (less $10 from it's current selling price. And since my local Best Buy gave me an open box unit instead of a brand new one, I automatically got a further $20 discount making my purchase at $40. I have no reason to complain anymore.

This is a good graphics card for the price. It is able to handle the graphic demand that I require and then some. No problems with installing it or uploading the drivers.

This card worked perfectly with my system and yes i was very skeptical to buy due to some reviews that said this was easy to install and the software was easy to install and navigate through for updates etc.. Install the software from there site is the best way to get the newest version as the disc that comes with usually is out of date.. One factor is if your MOBO is AMD graphics ready you will have NO issues and makes the install sooo easy.. The dual monitor setup works flawlessly and is easy to change settings for your preference.. The card is a small footprint and has NO power connection to worry about & fits in the computer case with no issues as i have read some saying they have an issue with it fitting properly and i can bet its a cheap case = ISSUES.. I recommend this to everyone!!

    Great Card X2

I ordered two for AMD crossfire after checking compatibility list. However, it does not do crossfire even though it is written on the box. Small print states "connect bridge connector", which it does not have a bridge port even though list states no bridge required. I traded cards with my wife and son, so I could use two Nvidia cards with SLI. They love this card for all their steam and origin game play, big deal with my son who is a super gamer (FPS FTW).

I bought this for my latest pc build. No it is not the most powerful video card out there, but I am not a gamer or use a lot of graphic intensive software. For my needs this was the best video card out there for the price. Using it with Windows 10 with the latest drivers and the video is awesome! Glad I bought it!

Bought this card because the driver for the nVidia card that I had would quit responding so frequently it was disruptive to my activities when shopping, viewing videos, or other things. So far this card has performed flawlessly. I'm pleased with the way it responds and keeps on working.

I have had to reinstall multiple times the drivers for the 240. The drivers are so unstable that my system after 10-15 crashes, my computer crashes. Please do not say it is the airflow as the temp has not gone above 25 C.

    Worst Video Card Ever Purchased

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Worst card ever! This is not even suitable for low graphic gaming at all. I honestly wouldn't even recommend it for basic tasks, The 4 GB with GDDR3 bottlenecks the whole system. I don't know where these positive reviews are coming from. The card on stock settings performs horrible. I thought by OC this thing that I would awaken it a little. I was completely disappointed to find out that the card performs worse when overlocked. Let me put this in perspective: My Nvidia 710 GT GDDR3 2GB runs WAY better than this card and overclocks higher and better, with only a heatsink, no fan. Invest in a mid to high end 2 GB card with GDDR5 if you want better performance at a cheap price ($500 for a GTX NO THANKS). Don't let those 4 GB fool you: This card is the worst buy NOT best buy ;-)
