top of the line
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this graphics card for my daughter's PC when he MSI Radeon R9 280 died after over 5 years of heavy use. The RX 5700 is a clear improvement and I doubt I will need to upgrade it again any time soon. My daughter loves it and I admit as a console gamer I'm a little jealous of the way this thing looks.

Excellent GPU
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was pleasantly surprised with this GPU. I usually avoid XFX. Now I don't know why. I guess it was mostly a result of online reviews. Also, although you can play many games at a reasonable framerate at 4K, this is not a 4K gaming GPU. Especially some of the most modern AAA games. You will mostly end up with FPS around 30 to 50ish at 4K with many newer games. Compared to current consoles though, you will get true 4K instead of the "checkerboard" technique in consoles used to get a fake "4K" out of them. It has a huge heat sink and it almost takes up three slots. It does not support ray tracing, but considering how many games as of 8/14/2020 support that feature, you won't miss out on much. And to be honest, I don't think ray tracing will truly become mainstream until at least a year from now. It can get a bit noisy when left to run at an unlocked framerate. Mostly because it spits out high frames at 1080p on most games on "Ultra" settings. So, I usually enable v sync at either 60Hz to 144Hz depending on the game I am playing so I don't hear the fans too much. Also, some games don't benefit much from 144Hz, so I set them to 60Hz for less heat output and less noise. Anyway, I have have had no issues with this GPU. I am using it on system with a Ryzen 5 3600X, 16gigs of 3000Mhz RAM. I can possibly benefit a few extra FPS if I get slightly faster RAM, but considering the FPS I am getting now, it would not make a difference to me. If you want ray tracing and perhaps slightly less heat output, get a RTX 2070 Super. However, if there's a deal on this card, you will see little no difference on almost all games in terms of performance. It isn't apples to apples, but you won't be disappointed.

||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great graphics card for our first build. Price was competitive with other retailers. It’s running our games quite well and has ability to handle some of the most demanding games on the market.

Huge upgrade
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I upgraded from a GeForce GTX 970. I was having more and more games that were pushing the card's capabilities. The card has been silent and has solved the slow-downs I was experiencing. I am quite pleased. That said, I do think that the 970 rendered some sharp lines better/smoother. From a pure graphics quality, I actually prefer my old card. From a performance basis, there is no comparison and I am not going back.

It works.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m new to the whole PC gaming. Bought a decent rig for my photography and figured I could use it for gaming. Got this card and so far it has not disappointed me. I run about every game at pretty much their max settings at 1440p. I would recommend... but I’m pretty sure new AMD cards are coming out at the end of this month.

Great card if you are a gambler
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought it to replace a dying 1080 and was very happy with the card. It benchmarked higher in some applications overclocked than the 2070 super i replaced it with. It worked fine for a week then I started getting plagued with black screens which would cause the whole system to freeze and need to be restarted. I searched online and did everything I could to troubleshoot the card. I never had any issues with my old 1080 other than artifacting from dying VRAM. Other people have had no issues whatsoever and others like me might sail smoothly for a bit and then hit constant problems. For the price it's a good card and if it plays well with your system. Unfortunately it did not for me and I had to return it.

Didn't venture outside Camp Green for long.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Before I start, obviously everyone's software/hardware situation's different, so what applies to my experience anecdotally may not be what you run into, but here's my story: Wanted an upgrade from the (excellent for the price) 1650 Super; this card clashes against the RTX 2070 Super only moderately unfavorably, and at this price point it seemed like a no-brainer Picked it up, installed it, no fuss no muss. Until I fired up a game I was playing at the time, Yakuza Kiwami. That game, within an hour and without fail, continuously hung my system. I had already done a full driver uninstall from Nvidia, but I cleaned as well as I could again and re-installed the AMD drivers (by the way, their software suite is excellent), but the game continued to crash. And this wasn't a new game, by any means. Stuff should have been ironed out. All the other games I played played fine, but I didn't want to find out what games in the future would run into similar fun (I've always chuckled with popcorn during game launch periods) or any other games in my extensive library would have similar issues possibly, so I decided to return this and pick up a 2070 Super for a hundred fifty more. Sadly I have to say the peace of mind was well worth the extra smackers; everything runs blazing fast and I have zero issues whatsoever. I don't know if it was power draw, or software, or hardware causing the Yakuza Kiwami failure. All I know is with the 2070 Super, I don't have any failures of any kind anymore, so sadly I'm staying away from AMD. I hope they get this stuff ironed out, because price to performance, 5700xt's a real winner. Questionable compatibility, not so much. I could blame Sega for screwing up the game, but again... Nvidia's fine, so why spend more time troubleshooting than playing? I'll just play. Much better use of time.

Great card
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First thing if you get this, visit XFX site and download and install the new gpu bios. This card is very quiet in comparison to my XFX RX590. The new AMD drivers 20.3.1 has worked flawlessly for me. I had a ton of problems with the previous ones and almost returned this card because of it. But now I’m really happy with my purchase.

Great mid tier card.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great card for the price. I recently built a new desktop after leaving Alienware. This card is similar in features and power to the RTX 2070 that I had. I like that this one has more display options. It also goes great with my Deadpool theme.

Great gpu
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the price this thing is really great. Able to pull 55-75 FPS in most New aaa games at 4K high(cod mw, apex) and much higher FPS in older games. Runs at a decent temp can overclock a bit if you want. No issues for drivers other than I didn’t properly uninstall my nvidia drivers. As long as you don’t need RTx(ie the control game.) this is the card to get. As for this model no issues with noise or temp.
