A Great Performing Graphics Card
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This XFX RX580 graphics card is powerful, operates on low power, and is very quiet. What is even better, XFX has one of the (if not THE) best warranties on their products. This video card is guaranteed for 3 years. I have this video card installed in a MicroATX/MiniITX case (using a MiniITX motherboard) and it does not overwhelm the case in any way. Lastly, I am running this video card in a Ubuntu Linux environment and the current drivers work well with it.

Fantastic
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I put up a Hackintosh with this card, and it got excellent, quality and price puts together this card. I used before an Nvidia GTX 1070 - 8GB, but the result was poor compared to XFX-AMD Radeon RX 580 - 8GB.

Game/mining mode switch lets XFX serve two roles
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good investment for gamers dabbling in crypto mining--features a hardware mode switch that optimizes you card for gaming or mining. Beautiful color saturation. Good value... Or at least what passes for it these days. Comparable generation Nvidia cards are all stupid expensive--way more so than this. Good way to game and offset a little of the cost of the device mining some Ethereum.

Good... Until it broke...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this card to replace a GTX 1060 3GB, since I noticed that for most modern games, 3GB is not enough VRAM. Everything started out really well. I was getting noticeably better performance in every single game I tried compared to a GTX 1060. The cooling was impressive, as well as the noise level. That is, until it broke. After a couple of hours playing Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, my computer suddenly shut down. After a few seconds, I pushed the power button. For a split second, the computer turned on, but then it shut right back down. I let it sit for a minute, then tried again. This time, it stayed on for a few seconds, then there was a crackle/pop from the GPU, the computer shut down, and smoke came out of the case. I have read a few reviews of other people having this exact same problem. I'm extremely skeptical on getting a replacement. But because it is such a good price for the performance, I am most likely going to get a replacement. Let's hope the replacement card actually works like it should.

A Good Upgrade for Future-Proofing!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got enough money to get this card and I upgraded from my GTX 1050 Ti. Performance-wise, it did SLIGHTLY better than my GTX 1050 Ti, mostly because I'm using a G4600 and there were some bottlenecks, especially in GTA V where my CPU was directly at 100% usage and comparing my 1050 Ti to my RX 580, it gave me no performance boost. Otherwise, I'm happy with this card, so I'm fine for the next 3 to 5 years until most modern games cannot run with the RX 580.

Good card with terrible customer service
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The card seemed to be fine. Specs were good for the price and it ran the games and software I wanted it to reasonably well. Then one day I was browsing the web and the screen flashed and the system powered down. MB showed power, but nothing else would come on.. removed the card, system powers up fine. Move card to another system, system doesn't power on. Move card to third system, system doesn't power on. Cool, its the card. Contact XFX. Tech responds two days later asking me to do all the things I already did with no new suggestions. Respond that I did that and needed an RMA. Tech responds five days later that its been sent to RMA group. No response for 8 days. Called the office in Cali, got transferred and hung up on. Tried the FB page, no response. Finally got a response from a reddit community manager, but far too late for me to bother with this thing. Avoid XFX at all costs, unless you're fine dealing with tech support/customer service that's clueless and slower than molasses in winter.

Second one worked great
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The first card was DOA. Went to a Best buy store and easy exchange. the RX580 is only slightly better than the RX480 card MY RX480 died after a long period of time The RX 580 runs cool, quiet and slight improvement over my old card. Just wish it had lighting

Defective Card but Good Graphics
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The graphics on the card were great, for when it worked but then after a month is stopped working, I tried everything imaginable and it still wouldn't work, 'twas a waste of money.

Great until it broke...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was a great card at first. It ran fairly cool and quiet with the OC+ settings recommended by XFX dialed in. After about two weeks I started to encounter some instability and crashing in certain games. By one month it was crashing in everything after just a couple minutes even when reset to default. Best Buy was GREAT about letting me exchange the gpu for a different one so they get top marks there. This is the first XFX card I've ever had and I must say not a great first impression. Two stars because it did run better than expected while it was working and it does seem from other reviews that XFX can be reliable. That was just not the case for me in this instance.

DOD within 20 hours of install
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I build and repair pcs for over 15 years now and this is the first card i have just failed like it did mid game and was not even under load. I checked the temps and I think it overheated and fried ( the no fan spin built in might be the problem ) this card read almost 55 C when I pulled it out and it was sitting a few minutes. before i got to pull it out as I had to unhook a lot of cables for 3 different printers. I am returning it for either a similar card or a replacement and if that one fails I am switching to a Non xfx brand

Not the best Radeon card
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The first card I bought wouldn't turn on. I noticed the difference when I plugged the second one in, because a light came on near the PCI-E power connector. Still, once I loaded up drivers and games, it started crashing to Windows, and even a weird light blue screen that couldn't be escaped from without a cold boot (different from a BSOD). I cannot recommend these cards, but another 580 could work well for you.

Didn’t perform under load
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this card to run on an i7-4770 with 24GB of DDR3 and couldn’t be more disappointed. At first glance everything was fantastic from the installation, the AMD software and the initial frame rate I was getting while playing games but the latter part proved an issue. As soon as this card came under load and was over 60celcius both my HDMI and DP connections would drop signal on and off like someone was unplugging and re-plugging the cables. Meanwhile the DVI connection was rock solid and had no issues. I have 2x80mm / 1x120mm inbound airflow into my case and 1x80mm / 1x120mm outbound so I knew this wasn’t the issue. Upon doing some research I found this has been a semi-common issue with these cards. To eliminate other root causes I popped my gtx970 in the same slot and all of my issues disappeared, pointing to this card. Regarding the AMD software it has some AWESOME features but no safeguards. By this I mean it allows you to make changes (like enable HDR) but these changes are actually toggling Windows settings. My issue came when I enabled HDR not knowing that (1) my monitor wouldn’t like it and (2) there is no “are you sure you want to keep these settings” with a revert timer. It was a huge PITA to figure out it was actually toggling the feature in Windows settings.

Broke After one month of use
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. At first the pc screen would randomly go black annoying but not a huge problem just had to turn the monitor off then back on however after a week long trip screen refused to work while everything else was clearly working. And so I tried another old card and guess what, it worked. I thought I was just extremely unlucky so I am considering buying the same card again then I see all the reviews with the same problem, not only the same problem but in the same time period a little over a month just out the return period. Also the manufacturer will not give you a refund or replacement we spent three months trying don’t waste your time If you did already tried it.

Died in less than 48 hours
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Installed this card and downloaded drivers easily enough. Wanted to test card performance so I downloaded and begun to run a benchmarking tool at which point my PC shut off and would not power on again until I uninstalled the card. Read other reviews and crossed my fingers I wouldn't have the same experience, and unfortunately that was not the case. Went ahead and bought a Nvidia GTX1060 6GB card from MSI and haven't looked back. I thought this card would be a good bang for the buck, but not if it can't be relied upon to actually work.
